Wow. Thank you for this picture. Yes, it looks a little in between being a statement piece and being gaudy. Hmm.....I need to digest this more. I'm not sure I can pull it off..... I would have to really think hard about what I would wear with this band.

But it is beautiful though. I just didn't expect the chains to literally overwhelm the watch.

It’s already boxed up for return. I honestly don’t know what they were thinking. They should have done it on the attelage double tour. Or add something sleek like the Roulis closure as a link on the attelage.

You're not going to sleep on it (a few nights)? I'm still trying to think of outfits to go with this. I would have to dig deep into my closet and think of something rock to go with this band. Is it heavy?

Nope! It's much much too much. It felt surprisingly light when I picked it up but it was weighty on my arm. I'm not sure if that was mental or physical though lol! It's so very thick and bright. I wasn't nervous about it scratching the watch either. I can't really explain why. It just didn't feel like it would.

I’d try to sell it first. The band alone has a 10-week wait. You can probably get more than MSRP on Swappa even after the fees.

Waiting to see if my Series 8 will actually deliver. Shipped from Clayton, IN and UPS shows it was last in Rockford, IL and I’m in Los Angeles. Looks like it’s either stuck or just missed it’s scans.

Why a Watch headed for California would be in Rockford is beyond my comprehension.

This is big on my wrist and I’m on the first hole in the band, but I’m liking my decision to use the incremental Series 8 upgrade to get the 45mm Watch. The band is very supple. I had to check that it was actually Swift leather.

I’m keeping my 41mm Series 7 Hermes but will probably mostly use this one.

The Ultra would look absolutely ridiculous on my wrist. Hopefully some of its features trickle down to the rest of the range.

Perhaps. The first time with a Swift vs a year-old Swift the former seems so much more stiff. But the new band seems much more supple to the touch.

What size wrist are you in mm? I have a 145mm wrist so have always bought the 41mm watch, this time I went Gold SS 45mm and really love it. Would also love to get the 45mm SBSS Hermes but I don't think I will be able to wear the black leather band because it will be too big.

For what it is worth, the Hermes retail stores can put additional holes in the leather bands for smaller wrists.

At least you have strong emotions about it. You must LOVE it at its price tag, otherwise it's not worth the purchase. Thanks for sharing though.

My wrist is 155mm and I always ask for one additional hole to be added to the 45mm leather bands at a Hermès store.

So if your wrist is 145mm, you’ll need three additional holes. It might make the tongue of the band overlap the watch itself.

I saw that on release day and thought there’s no way that’s right. The length and number of holes in the band are the same as other single tours.

Ok I thought I was going crazy, opened and processed too many bands today. That’s quite the typo. At both ends!

Maybe for 450 they send someone to your house with a hole punch.

Just as a heads up, there is a day one update that will increase your build number from 20r361 to 20r364. Make sure to check for updates.

I had issues with migrating my cellular plan on 20r361.

I did - I am in the UK on EE. Heard some horror stories, but mine was seamless. Did a device to device transfer, then it asked if I wanted to transfer my number too. I said yes, within 30 seconds no signal on the first device and new 24 Pro had signal.

I transferred just my 13PM itself from physical to e and was pleasantly surprised to have no issues with my cellular-activated watch. I guess the carriers have had a lot of practice.

Over on the UK iPhone forum there are some real horror stories though, even with EE who are the only UK provider to support fast transfer. I think I was just lucky lol. I converted my physical Sim to eSim last week - again a 2 min job.

My wife still has a physical and is getting my 12 pro, so after all the bank holiday etc for HM QE2’s funeral, I may convert hers - as if there is an issue I have more chance of EE fixing in store.

As you say though, no issues with my cellular watch though.

Fingers crossed that this Monday my first Hermes AW will arrive!
I went with the S8 45mm Space Black with Black/Noir single Tour leather strap.
Looking very very forward to it now.

Ive been looking forever to find the additional band though the past few weeks but with no luck:

(the military khaki green one) but i cant NOT find it anywhere and through the Apple Store AU they dont have the 45 mm in stock and same goes with the Hermes AU online store
Please dont tell me this particular band has been discontinued?

Also another quick question...are Hermes watch faces tied to the particular watch you buy or to the bands you buy?
I mean do all Hermes Watches have access to all the Hermes watch faces?

Yes, it has. But keep checking the Hermès online store, they sometimes have older bands back in stock. Or an Hermès Boutique may still have one.

Every Hermès Watch gets all Hermès faces. There is one exclusive face for the black Watch and older than S4 Watches didn‘t get the newer faces because their screen was just too small, but other than that you get everything. The bands itself don‘t get you anything.
