Ugh I’m tempted on the blue Kilim but I’m definitely upgrading to the Series 10 in the fall and have a feeling the band connector changes will be true. Which would be a shame since I have such a nice Hermes collection.

Awesome thing about all Hermès bands is that the lugs can be changed with a simple Wiha PL2 driver.

Doubt the bands will change or compatibility will be dropped, though. The pin mechanism on the Watch itself can be redesigned to improve accessibility as it’s difficult for many folks to press (let alone see), and to save on wasted space inside the Watch case.

So would you buy new-style Hermes lugs or something more generic off of Amazon? Buying ~25 generic lugs wouldn't be so bad but buying ~25 expensive Hermes grade new-style lugs could get expensive.

Hermes lugs are not special. They’re actually from Apple not Hermes.

These lugs have been used on Apple’s modern buckle, classic buckle, and edition watch bands to name a few.

Looks like the Hermes site was sort of updated for U.S.?

No new leather bands yet and the fabric and rubber straps are limited in sizes and colors.

Very strange release in the U.S. thus far.

Above are two of my new 45mm bands for this season. Navy Kilim and Kaki Bridon for comparison.

Tricot is not as soft but is a step up in quality from the Bridon. Bridon is still a nice band but the design team and manufacturing did not communicate well and it shows. Bridon may go down as the worst Hermes band ever.

Blué Kilim still claims to be Swiss made and assembled in France. Tricot claims to be made and assembled in France.

It’s wild that wOS 10.4 has not gone GA so I don’t have the new blue color for the selector.

I have a question for those with a Kilim band. We all know the silicone bands become shiny / oily over time. Does this happen with the Kilim? How have the bands held up?

Thanks!

Another question for Kilim owners (45 and 41): how wide (in mm) are the straps at the connector side? Thanks in advance!

That band is stunning! The textured Feu Epsom looks so much richer than its smooth, orange calfskin counterpart. I'd still kill for either one. Kidding, not kidding... 😈
those who have Hermes epsom leather straps keep them and don't sell them. I continue he only takes leather straps from the Hermes site, because it makes all the difference in the world. the last two seasons have been disastrous

I just downloaded Carrot weather premium/ultra on my new SSS9, but it seems to have messed up the color of the date box-border on the Radial face. In edit mode, it changes colors when scrolling through the modes, but when I set the face, it drops the color so that it's the same light taupe of the numeral outlines. I completely uninstalled the Carrot app on the watch and phone & have rebooted both several times, but the problem persists. The Radial face is one of my favorites - I'm so upset. Anyone else have Carrot installed and also experienced a similar issue?

I was discussing the hermes watchfaces with another enthusiast and how many of the faces can be... BUGGY. I would just delete the watch face and reconfigure it. It should return to normal.

I see this happen with some faces when picking colors. Like blanc seems to cause it to remove the HERMES logo sometimes and other times it shifts the numeric dials slightly. SUPER frustrating.

Sorry to post something unrelated to the new straps just days after the release (I'm still hyped!) - but I wanted share a recent project I've been working on that I figured people here might like.

I've slowly built up a collection of Hermes bands over the years like many people in this thread, and having recently got into photography I figured I'd combine my love of the two hobbies. I got the image below printed up a few weeks ago and it now sits proudly in my office. Hope people like it (especially double tour lovers!) :)

After my 4th reboot, the color has returned, but with an interesting behavior. Upon waking, the date box's color temporarily turns that taupe color while the numerals do their circular shooting-star effect. Then, the date box returns to the set color. So... can't imagine that's a new feature since I don't see an available watchOS update yet, but nonetheless, the color is back! lol

It‘s because your hour hand is at 3 o’clock. Whatever hour it is during the day, that hour is highlighted white when you wake on wrist raise. In the case of 3 o’clock, the date window border is highlighted.

As a side note, I also use the Carrot app with a premium account and it has never affected any of my watch faces with any unexpected behavior.

What’s wrong the Bridon?
