Just to point out that to "spay" is to, er, stop your girl cats having babies, so it's maybe not the best typo to leave on. :D

Well, it's just a fake comercial that makes no sense at all for a fictional product which even causes cancer so implementing that it will make your she-cats steril properly isn't that far fetched! :D

I thought that, but CSS is actually quite easy! When you get more confident with HTML it's well worth looking into.

Yeah one of my friends, which I help doing some graphics, and proof reading his code for a php-site he put up, once tried to teach it to me but I think it's just so much easier to just code it in HTML - I don't mind long weird code fx I use tables in tables in tables etc all the time... :)
I took a basic HTML-course back in 1997 and had a rather superficial java course in 2002 and that's all the coding I know... But I'm pretty good at googling for solutions and then implement them!

By the way I just checked out both clintob's and Lau's homepages and they are really nice!! Now I understand why you have such high standards! :D

Fair enough. :D

Thanks. :)

I pretty much learn via google too. :D You'll probably find CSS just follows on naturally as you need to use it, and it's definitely worth knowing HTML before you use CSS. The thing I find really useful about it is that you can fiddle about with it once you've designed it. If you view the source code of my site (which certainly isn't a technically good site) you can see the HTML is really basic and covers the text and little else, and then the CSS file is linked to it at the top, which if I want to change one thing, I just have to edit the one file and it changes all my pages. :) But I'll stop banging on about it! :p Good luck with your site. :)

I don't mind the red, but I would much rather have the option of different colors, just a couple would be nice. The links in the top should probably be put somewhere else and be labeled, but I do like that you put some good programs for macs on your page.

Just a quick idea- rather than the sidebar being white images against red, how about trying red images against white? You'd keep the red theme, and it wouldn't be quite as visually overwhelming, although the rollover shadows do help quite a bit.

I think it's a crazy, fun site that, judging by your responses to everyone here, reflects you quite well. The huge banner is generally a no-no, but you filled the space quite nicely and it really looks good.

Award-worthy? Not at all
Could you sell it? Of course not
Is it cool cause it's you? Absolutely

My site (sig) is no graphical wonder, but it's had 3 or 4 facelifts over the few years I've been trying to keep it up. The current is really clean and simple, and I like it. I also liked the previous versions but looking back they were terrible. So, you've got a great start, keep it around for a few months, then start over and you'll just get better. You'll learn more, and you'll have a lot of fun. Buy a real domain name and get it hosted somewhere, it's really not that expensive. And... your own domain name emails hardly get spammed. At least mine doesn't!

thanks!! almost forgot about this post because I really like what I've changed so far and I've still got some ideas left that I haven't tried out yet... :)
Actually I didn't think I was going to get anymore replies.... Anywho I'm going to buy my own domain soon - just need to be sure I can pay my electrics and heating bills and still be able to buy christmas presents before doing so :) - otherwise the domain will have to wait till after new years.... :D

What's up with the images in the upper right being the full 128x128 (ish) size? Resize them in Photoshop.

And no more Pricedown
