That's a very simplistic viewpoint I think. But I'm at work so am going to have to leave this alone before I get carried away!
It's simplistic because it's people that make this overly complicated that have full of stress and anxiety over what in the end, doesn't matter.
As long as you are happy with yourself, you'll have a rich life. If you live in the pursuit of making others happy about who you are, you've failed and will continue to fail.
My "simplistic" view has served me greatly over the years. Making things complicated is a good way to fail.
Oh, and don't get carried away : Hint : I don't care about the dozens of scenarios you'll come up with where impressing others can get you ahead. I've chosen for myself to not subscribe to your worldview. If I need to impress someone and project a fake image of myself to get ahead, I'll simply go elsewhere where I am accepted for who I am.
That's how I roll. I'll leave the stressing out over "image" and "pleasing others" to you if you like it so much.
