Seems like Apple themselves slipped up and spilled a bit of the beans!

The offer expires on March 31, and the alleged machine has not been announced yet. Since when has Apple ever had specials on brand new machines? It's surely a typo.

Wow!  This would be...rediculous? Awesome? Amazing? Sexy? So many thoughts come to my mind? I think I might actually consider buying this...If it actually did exist. "For the low price of $4200!!!" It seems, though, that it was probably a typo. :(

Only a couple more inches than the 17inch PowerBook. I wonder how big it really would be. Obviously the OP spotted a typo, but I wonder if anyone would carry a 20-inch MacBook Pro. I might, who knows.

I doubt so, a $480 discount on a 20" iMac is a lot! But for a 20" MBP... it kinda seems fitting!
Keep in mind that it's Australian dollars. The total savings usually refers to the savings you get from the EDU price over regular price, plus the savings from the promotion.

Edit: Regular base price for 20-inch iMac is A$2649. EDU price is A$2383, for a savings of A$266. Throw in the $200 for the iPod rebate and you're at A$466...close enough.

I would, from my office to my couch to my bed and back to my office. Those are the only places I currently carry my 17 inch Powerbook.

Biggest laptop you can currently buy is only 19 inches...20 inch laptops won't hit the streets till next year...That should have automatically clued people into knowing it's potentially BS.

a 20-30 inch laptop... now that would be interesting... now that i think of it the iMac is basicly a 20" tablet on a stand

I couldn't even picture trying to carry a laptop that big.

Well, you just have fun with that horse of a computer. I'm sure the hour and a 1/2 battery life would be great for rendering or watching movies on the go :p

Don't forget to lift with your legs ;)

heh 20 in is way to big. Heck I personlly think 17in laptops are to large.
I am a fan of 15 inchs. Sweet spot between being to tiny and still being very portable.
