HIS 7950 doesn't boot to menu after EFI flashed

hi guys, i've recently got one his 7950 iceq iturbo, with single fan and two 6 pin power, one dvi, one hdmi, two minidp, flashed smoothly on pc, then move to mac pro 5.1 and power on, it shows the boot apple screen, but goes half way before user, then restarts, then again, dont know why, thougt maybe the power issue, because other 7950 has one 6 pin + one 8 pin power, haven't found the same issue after recherche, then pass the mac rom stress tests on pc, half hour no problem, then flash the netkas generique mac7950.rom, boot to apple worked in all ways, but fan goes full speed dont stop, post here the origin rom and flashed mac efi, anyone could help to check please? many thanks

You use the script to create the Mac EFI ROM by yourself?

Dual 6pin is normal for this card, as long as both connected, shouldn’t have any power issue.

Which OS you can’t boot? Did you try any other OS?

Anyway, for your info, this card’s HDMI port may be disable after flash with Mac EFI ROM.

yes i've used the netkas script created the efi rom, and i've tried on high sierra et mojave et el capitan, doesnt work

Do I get this right? You buy every NVIDIA GTX9xx from MVC and after sales costs and taxes you make a loss because you are the cheapest seller on ebay? That sounds like a clever investment *insert irony here*.

Using the Netkas Bundle I have successfully flashed ..
1. XFX 5770
2. MSI 5770
3. HIS 5870
4. Sapphire 5870
5. HIS 7950
6. Sapphire Dual-X 7970

Some cards with TWO DVI ports only use ONE of them - that information is readily available in the Netkas thread.

thank you so much for your messages, I've learned that AMD cards which have two DVI ports, such like 280 280x will only active one DVI after mac EFI mod, and this card I've tried to flash it with different rom, its original rom will not boot, but when I tried with 925mhz version from techpowerup, it did boot, and tried other 925mhz version bios, all boot after EFI mod, but when I tried the 800mhz version, it wont boot only white screen, so it might mean only the latest version rom works, and it works normally with all apps, but the fans run on full speed for all times, no solutions found yet.

thank you for your help, sorry for reply late I was in business travel, now I'm back, I will show both sapphire Radeon 280x vapor dual x, and his Radeon 7950 netkas script screen here, please help, thank you so much.
I've tried every 280x and 7950 I can find with two DVI, by flashing successfully netkas script, no one can activate the second DVI on mac pro (nor mac os x neither windows Bootcamp)

The 2nd DVD port not working is a known issue.

There is no "efiromheader_280x.rom in the Netkas BUNDLE.

The 7970 " romfile=efiromheader_7970.rom " is for R9280X

I sued this for my Sapphire Dual-X HD 7970 . . .

./makerom.sh --efifile=7970mac.efi --romfile=efiromheader_7970.rom --originalrom=cardname.rom --devid=6798

This will work with the R9 280X

many thanks, but i dont understand well, i've used the 280x bundle, why you said it doesn't existe? secondly we have a way to flash with original model name, why we need to flash to another model? thirdly my questions is second dvi not working problem, your words are not clear, if i understand right: if i flash 280x with 7970 bundle, the second dvi will be activated?

hi mikx, thank you for your help, i've tried your way to flash 280X (three fans black green vapor x version) with 7970 efi, and it did the same thing as before, i mean although the system shows correctly 7970 instead of 280x, but dvi still dead, and i've found a new probleme: the hdmi seems activated and i can see the seconde monitor (tv 4K via hdmi, it gave flashes on first monitor when i connected the seconde one, so not like dead port there was nothing) from preference, and i can modify resolution even, but nothing appears on the second monitor, could you help please?

The problem is “the card is NOT compatible”.

Either write the EFI by yourself.

Or forget about it.

that is so cold, did you read the whole topic? did you see people talk about the success, and this card is 100% compatible for netkas script, search, read, and reply, don't waste our time, pls
