Am I missing how to add the home app as a widget or is this just not an option at this point? I can't seem to get it to pull up when I go to "edit" on the widgets and look in "more widgets". Would be awesome to be able to turn my lights on and off that easily.

I don't believe that there is a Home.app widget. What they've done is make it a part of Control Center. Swipe up from anywhere and you'll get Control center. Swipe over once and you'll see the new media controls. Swipe over one more time and you'll see your HomeKit devices.

Hope that helps

Gotcha, for some reason I thought the Home app would be in there and I could pick the scenes. Oh well, swiping up is just as easy as swiping right. Thanks!

There is an app on the AppStore to do that now:

It's really good.
