I'm only seeing artwork for movies that i have purchased in iTunes. My ripped movies still have the artwork and metadata attached (i can see it in get info) but i'm not seeing artwork in tile view. Not sure if this is a bug, or the fact that my artwork portrait view instead of landscape images. All my metadata that i added (using subler) is still there.

Edit: Added screenshot. The window to the right shows the info for Abduction and that I have artwork.

None of my ripped movies or tv shows are available. It only shows the movies and tv shows I purchased via iTunes.

lemieuxfan67, did your ripped videos import automatically or did you need to re-add?

It's a subset of the above, so yeah it does say "Devices on your network".

If checkbox vs radio button means it's a subset, then yes. But that's not obvious. Maybe indenting it would help.

Not at all obvious that it’s a “subset” based on the way the box is formatted and based on the descriptive text. That was really my point. It’s a very confusing box.

It's how the sharing settings are formatted in Mojave, e.g. under Content Caching. Though, yes, it probab;y would be clearer if it was indented.

Great news that we can still add our own content, thanks all for confirming. Even if we have to update artwork it will be a small price to pay.

It's probably just a Beta 1 issue. Though new ones I just added show fine.

Mine are fine, are you in the Library section? Within there, under films I can see all purchased (most are in the cloud) and ripped ones in the one place, but then can also go to the downloaded section and they're there.

So far as I understand from what I read in these forums, you can only have in your Movies folder on your HD with the OS on it and not external HD. Is that correct?

I wouldn’t know, Mines all on the local HD.

That would be a major problem for me since I have nearly 10TB of rips. Are folder aliases still a thing?

Can’t speak for Catalina, but iTunes kept the library on the same volume as the account’s home folder. In the users control panel you can use advanced settings to put an account’s home folder at any path on the system. I use this on a Mac Mini I run headless to be a media server for our Apple TV. I have a USB RAID enclosure with a 4TB volume, and I created an account for iTunes sharing. That account’s home folder is on the external volume.

Currently I have that Mac set to auto login on boot into that account, and the account is set to automatically launch iTunes when it is logged in. I’m hoping in the future that it will run as a service, so I don’t have to have the auto logon and launch.

Folder aliases definitely are - spent the afternoon setting up a symlink for a kext from one location to the other, so I’d say you should be good to go if you want to do it that way.

I click on Movies on the left and then Library at the top / center, it only shows the movies I purchased. None of my ripped movies show.

The only ripped movie it shows is the one I added after installing the beta.

Home Sharing is going to test my OCD about Cover Art.

Wonder if it'll bug me enough to go through and change the cover art to the "new style rectangle"

Veronica Mars - both are official purchases, one was moved back on from an external HDD.
Its interesting to see both cover arts displaying.

I quickly cropped the Harry Potter artwork I had and it kinda works as the "new style"

It’s enabled for me, but my Apple TV says it’s an empty library for the last 2 betas. I’ve turned it off on both devices and back on, no joy.
