HomePod Homepod default volume is too loud

Is there a way to, more or less, permanently set the Homepod volume at around 10%. I have a mini in our bedroom, and it's waaaaay too loud at night to ask it for anything. It lower the volume for music, but Siri automatically raises its voice level again back to up to some higher level.

We have a pretty large bedroom with high ceilings, so I don't know if that affects the audio detection, and hence, the volume, but it sucks.

I thought I did, but didn't see the part about disabling automatic volume. I'll try that.

Automatic volume can also be toggled in the HomePod’s settings under Accessibility. Wonder why that support page doesn’t mention it.
