Stop being such pompous snobs!! I own an iMac 24 and a 3g iphone. I reserved on day 1. Got an early peak this morning around 1am and played with it and didn't get stoked. Woke at 11am went to best buy after ignoring my reservation for the 32 at the Apple store and played with this for another hour while i was people watching. There is SOOOOO much hype surrounding the iPad and it generated interest and excitement even while i was people watching. Everyone wanted to play with it, no one bought while i was there until 12. This store only had 10 16's and 10- 64's. They still had supply.

I am not knocking this thing, I am just saying that ........brace yourself SNOBS........... ITS OK FOR MEMEBERS OF THIS FORUM AND GENERAL PUBLIC TO NOT FULLY EMBRACE A HUGE IPOD TOUCH!!!!!!!!

Lol you have spent 2 of the last 16 hours of your life hanging out in Best Buy spying on people using it and playing with one yourself.

I don't think you should be the one accusing anyone of anything.

You need to call 911. You are having a breakdown.

You know, I'm beginning to think the OP didn't even purchase one. His last post was early Jan before it was even released and it just seems someone who has been a member on here and who PRE-ORDERED this item would have spoken in some thread about it about excitement or shipping or ANYTHING, yet there is nothing... troll.

LOL!

To be honest I have used my iPad more in one day than I have used my Netbook in the past 3 months. Are there things a netbook can do that iPad can't? Definitely, but they do them so terribly that it is not worth it IMO.

One of my biggest problems with my netbook was battery life. Its supposed 3 hour battery life lasts about an hour and a half with light usage. So far my iPad has lasted 7 hours on its out of the box 80% charge, and I plugged it in with 16 percent left.

My main use for my netbook was light internet browsing and even without flash iPad destroys it. Using the tiny 1.5" trackpad with a screen only 600 pixels tall minus around 100px for toolbars (even using chrome without any other toolbars enabled). There may be a small group of people who would benefit from the current benefits of a netbook (multitasking, some desktop apps*) vs an iPad but I feel the iPad fits the needs of a majority of the population looking for a lightweight portable device.

*I say some because pretty much any apps I need to do school work or coding run too sluggishly on the limited Atom hardware (EG. Photoshop, IntelliJ, Eclipse)

Well, of course, you just bought it. What were you going to do, leave it in its box?

Funny thing to me was the only thing my netbook was good for over an iPad was netflix streaming, and that was only if I stripped it down to be running nothing but the zinc.tv browser as an interface. Otherwise it would not present it well.

Then days before the iPad comes out, it gets Netflix. LOL. My poor netbook. Can't be better than the iPad at anything. I feel sorry for the little blue guy.

So true. Oh wait, except for native printer support. And don't forget viewing flash on websites. Then there's USB connection to more than cameras. I'll skip access to several million apps, since the iPad will have 2000 or more by week's end. :D
