Do you use home by any chance? I saw in another thread a theory that the home application was constantly pulling data and was subsequently leading to less battery life. Unfortunately the "Home and Lock Screen" is pretty generic and can cover a wide range of things from the display itself, to anything that is visible on the display like notifications.
I have Home on the phone but nothing is connected to it.

Few separate apps like Wyze cam and Tile apps are on the phone, I see Tile running on occasion but that's about it, that doesn't seem to drain the battery.

Okay, thought I would take a shot in the dark, lol. I don't know Wyze but I use tile and I see it there as well but does not seem to do anything hardly either. Having Home app alone is not doing much from what I can tell but when you see decreased battery life, is the phone warm more often, specifically when you are not doing anything with it? If so, there is something that is calling the CPU(would create heat and use more power.) If that is the case, I would try to narrow it down to what is open first, then go from there. It very well could be a "misbehaving" application that is causing the issue. Could just be the OS though also, sadly.

Hmm, my Ecobee and Arlo security system are set up with Home. I deleted my home. Lets see what happens. Thanks

It should not hurt but I don't believe that you had to remove the app itself, just remove the devices from within it like the Home app was just not set up. Either way, hopefully you will see improvement :)

It’s this site/forum draining your battery, even being on here for a few minutes drains a few percent quickly because of all the ads, apparently they’re working on a fix, haven’t heard anything and doubt we will.

Install a ad/content blocker.

My battery life is back to normal and no more heat since installing a content blocker.

90% battery left 1h40m usage.

Nothing wrong with iOS 14.6 or 14.7, tested them both, ever since I installed a content blocker, the battery drain and heat from this site/forum has stopped.

Been like this for a while now, whole time I was blaming iOS 14.5 and onwards, when it was never the problem.

It did it again last night. The cat woke me up at 3:30 am to be fed and I happened to check the phone and prevented a complete battery drain. There appears to no apps consuming the battery. Should I try a factory reset? If so is it OK to restore from a backup on my Mac? Thanks.

upgraded to 14.7b3 and it seem a tiny bit better. I now notice that when charging, they recharge is slower. Meaning it takes 20+ minutes to add 1% to the charge. Maybe I do have a hardware issue.

That's your call bud. Make sure that your backup is uptodate prior. If you do restore back, I would try to restore as a "new phone" without any configuration first. After a couple of days, if things look "better." Try restoring to backup and test again. If it was good before the backup restore, then there is something up with your backup. Either an app or setting, or something deeper than what the user can see.

iphone 12 pro, updated to ios 14.6, battery drains faster and most annoyingly my phone takes twice as long to charge on a 2.4a charger compared to 14.5 :(.

I backed my phone up on my Mac and also ran an iCloud backup and then performed a factory reset. I decided to try the easy route first and restore the backup. Last nights battery usage was the best that I have seen in over a year. I am not declaring victory yet but usage for the last 12 hours appears to be as it should be.

Fingers crossed that is all that you needed to do. No matter the platform, OS upgrades is always an "iffy" thing because in most cases, there are old things that are left behind afterwards. When talking about computers, it is better to do a fresh install of any major OS version, rather than continuous upgrades.
