Don't worry, you weren't the only one. We have all learned a good lesson today: thank god/jesus/buddah (or allah for Shambo) that MacRumors' users do not run Apple's Support. Although Shambo would have been getting the same results regardless it seems.

oh, you also called out jessica. which I have been warned is a rather large mistake.

The OP did not really call me out. He's some kid who is clearly incapable of actually answering a completely logical question.

He asked a question, to which I answered garciously. He said "what does my country matter" and I believe he added an eyeroll or two. I told him that his country mattered due to the legality of charing a restocking fee.

Through a serious of posts the OP only esclates the issue by attacking those who he needs help from. At which point I gave up and said that he got his answer. How does Apple justify this? An answer was provided.

The OP used the word contridict but clearly is unaware of the definition of such a large word. The did not contradict myself. I answered one question and when that was clearly not good enough (through other members' posts) I gave him the general answer as it would apply in any case providing the restock fee is legally being charged.

You see, the OP is clearly spastic but he has failed to call me out. I am afraid that engaging in conversation with the OP further will only result in his own breakdown. I don't want to be at fault for a temper tantrum that results in him hurting himself or others. He is clearly on the cusp of something much larger.

The OP has personally attacked members and done nothing more than antagonize himself. This is not a case of members not helping him so much so as it is case of him not helping himself. For that, I have opted to help him by reporting the thread and allow the mods to close this.

There is no means to an end here and if a mod cannot see it then so be it but the OP is clearly on one.

I just returned an LED Display to Apple after using it for 14 days. They waved the restocking fee without me even asking. Of course, this was not a CTO product which is typically non refundable.

Homeboy OP is probably exhibiting the same attitude in store or over the phone as he does in this thread. In that case, if I were the CSR I'd stick it to him any way I could.

This thread seems to have gone off towards a bad end. While I haven't read the thread in its entirety I've read enough.

Your options are (or were) a replacement, to have it fixed, or return it paying a 10% restocking fee. If you would rather have a replacement or get it fixed but have already done the return you might talk to Apple about undoing that and getting it replaced instead. Otherwise it's unfortunately live and learn.

Many companies charge restocking fees on returned items to prevent people from purchasing items for temporary use. You see this quite often on video cameras, digital cameras, tv's, etc.

If you would just like to get the 10% restocking fee back the only people that can do that for you is Apple. Your best bet would be to call them.
