British Summer Time

I didn't know the great British Standard Time scheme of 1968 - 1971 has made a comeback?

Anyone hear of any decent streaming audio/visuals? Last MWSF, and WWDC it was plausible there wasn't really anything, but you'd think with such a tech heavy crowd, there would be more than 1-2 willing to risk the Apple heavy hand to get the live audio/video scoop?

That's exactly what I was thinking!

I remember the fuss that a couple of sites made about a live video stream from the Keynote at MWSF, and were promptly asked to leave about 20 minutes into the presentation.

what kind of fuss was this?

One website has already effectively outed itself to Apple security.
It's a tough call to get the buzz just late enough so that Apple doesn't catch it on the web. They could easily be scanning qik etc remotely and relay any possible naughty folk to Apple security/minders on the conference floor.

dont hold your breath. i remember a few years back some website tried to do that. it got hammered so bad that the whole website went down REAL fast

Ahh, I was thinking that, I doubt it'll work to be honest. But they seem to have thought it through a bit, they're gonna cap the amount of people connected at 30,000 and they've got a secret back up URL if the initial one gets shut down.

Just discovered twitter.com/macrumors works fine on my iPhone and is nice and lightweight for viewing without WiFi. I'll have to use that godforsaken Twitter service after all then :(
