my theory on cleaning a room....it has to be somewhat in order. if i can find stuff, great. my office is fairly clean. BUT, if i enough time to really clean it well, like as in spotless, then i'm wasting time. i get that some people are OCD or like it and that's fine, but honestly, i have much, much, much better things to be doing than cleaning a room. it's the last thing on the priority list.
i usually only clean while i'm waiting for something else to be done. other than that, forget it.
why am i like this? easy peezy - my Dad died when I was younger and I saw how hard he worked and figured, any spare time i have is to enjoy life b/c you never know when you're gone.
funny story with the OCD. a roommate of mine was terrible for it. bad. very bad. he'd like the magazines on the table just perfectly with the remotes equi-distant to each other and the mags. if he ever ticked me off, i'll take a few inside magazines (b/c, they were perfectly overlapped), and moved them around. totally messed him up. or, i would do the dished, but on purpose, would not totally clean 1 or 2. he'd snap.
i only did this when i felt he deserved it of course....never did it on purpose. Now, telling him the colours of his outfit matched his tie (when they were the complete opposite) and letting the colour blind boy go to work, that was just for the fun of it

lol
