It's not deceptive since you can still get an unlimited plan?
Use your brain please... The 3GS will still be available -the unlimited plan will NOT! Apple knows this, however, they are still using the unlimited plan as a selling point even though they know by the time your iPad is delivered it will be gone.

I'm not upset...I have an iPad and I'm enjoying it with my unlimited 3G. 2gb would do me fine. I just don't agree with deceptive advertising. Apple should change that since AT&T has announced it and apple knows that no customer ordering an iPad 3G will actually get what they are advertising.
Get over it. You will not even be a bother to AT&T. If you attorney accepts your case he will want lots of money up front as he will know before hand you will loose. A good attorney will send you home and tell you to swing at windmills elsewhere and to save your money!

Uh...no. In a case like this, he would not pay the attorney anything up front. The attorney would get a percentage of the settlement.

geez, the advertised prices of the ipad did not go up. The terms, options, and information used to promote the 3G iPad's 'breakthrough' data plans were substantially altered a month into sales.

Maybe it's just me and my understanding of things, but AFAIK "Grandfather" plans are only active until you stop using them. Then you are subject to the "Current" plans in existence.
Grandfathered plans are a generosity of the service provider and are not required for them to offer them. However as soon as you "Stop" using the grandfathered service from my understanding.
For instance, Adelphia Cable was bought out by Comcast Cable. Under our plan on Adelphia we got pretty much all the channels plus internet for about 120 bucks, then when the buyout occured, we ended up paying 180 bucks. No grandfathered plan, everyone switched and we all had to suck it up or get dish. (we got dish anyway LOL)

How did you search around for CAL and miss the fact that there is already one in the works? Besides, I almost feel that this is what you people get for putting all your faith in ATT for providing you any type of wireless service. Rather it be cellular data or cellular voice...these guys have been gigantic screw ups for a long, long time. Instead of people going with WIFI only on this model, hoping for a better carrier later, everyone is buying up the 3G models and then complaining when the worst carrier on the planet continues to screw you around. Enjoy your exclusivity and enjoy your problems. I have no pity for anyone who makes a purchase with ATT and then feels "screwed" later.
