You do nothing. You were not supposed to update if you wanted to keep your phone unlocked. 🙂 Unfortunately you'll need to wait until the dev team can unlock 2.30 baseband.

You do nothing. You were not supposed to update if you wanted to keep your phone unlocked. 🙂 Unfortunately you'll need to wait until the dev team can unlock 2.30 baseband.
Which is why you should NEVER update/restore an iphone to a new firmware without checking the Dev Team's blog first.

i just got my 2nd iphone 2g today i bought it on ebay and came with 2.2 i hasn't been unlocked or JB i'm trying to do both with my mac, but i cant get into DFU mode, after trying i decided to restore it with itunes and get 2.2.1 i havent done it yet the complete restore but my iphone screen shows an usb and a itunes icon what can i do?

Read this forum, or the Dev Team blog, or google, on how to get OSX 10.5.6 to do DFU properly.
The dev team posted a fix on their website for those of us with a Mac trying to jailbreak. I used it yesterday with success.
