I'm not using the beta's. I'm curious how you will use the double click home button to bring up the iPod, camera, phone favorites etc. if multi-taksing is replacing that. Or will that function be obsolete? I would gladly put my iPod in a folder is this still existed.

When I watched the presentation, the first thing I did when he said "just double tap to bring up the dock" was facepalm...again and again...

What I have been reading is that in order to bring up the shortcut, you tap+tap and hold the home button. Multitasking is just the quick double tap.

So just Tap, tap and hold the second tap for probably a second or two.

Thanks, Apple, you went and **** up another good thing for no ******* good reason!! >8\

I think it's a good trade-off.

So 'tap tap and hold' while music is playing gets you to iPod controls and 'tap tap and hold' with no music playing gets you to phone favorites?

If that's the case, it sounds good to me.

No...

Tap-release Tap-release gets you the switcher

Tap-release Tap-hold gets you the iPod

Which is crap because, dammit, the iPod app is becoming more and more cumbersome! ><

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what I said. The tap tap hold functions just as the double tap before, right? If iPod is playing it gets you to iPod controls. If iPod isn't playing it brings you to favorites?

Tapping twice and holding brings me to my phone favourites even while iPod is playing.

NO....you're saying that the SAME action performs different functions depending upon whether the iPod is playing or not.

That's not the case, the difference is double-tapping as opposed to tapping and then tapping and holding.

I always find the hardest thing to explain to people when they get their first mac is double-tap-hold to drag windows -.-'

Then 4.0 sure sounds sorry. I'm tired of Apple alienating everybody, but they get away with it because the NEW people that are jumping in every day have never had it better.

I'm emailing Jobs, is there a way to imbed images into a message?

I'm sure Jobs will respond right back with "I'm sorry sir, we didn't realize that 4.0 was 'sorry', we will get on fixing it for you right now"

As for how to imbed an image into an email, try searching the web for "How to use electronic mail"

NO, attaching an image or URL is NOT embedding, hell I'll just use HTML and hope for the best because there are certain things that can ONLY be expressed in shocking gag-inducing phallic images.

Idn't it?

Besides, arguing with the person you seem to find "inferior" sure is a fine way to spend YOUR life. XD

Yeah, that tap and hold thing doesn't work. I tried it and it just opens the whole iPod app.

Plus they got rid of ALL of the Home Button preferences. I hope that's just temporary.
