How do you carry your apple pencil?

I just ordered my new iPad Pro and iPad pencil. I know there is no way to attach/carry the pencil with the iPad itself, so I am curious how you all do it? A decent case and put the pencil in the pen holder if there is one? Some other accessory I dont know about?

I haven't ordered one but these supposedly work very well with Apple Pencil

I carry my small backpack everwhere with me, and the Pencil always goes back in one of the pencil holders there.

The other option I like is to use the pencil clip from a mechanical pencil (the Pentel P205 fits fine) and clip it to your cover. This works best if you have the Apple keyboard cover because you can clip it and not have it resting against the screen.

I use a Lechiturn(sp) pen loop with the clip from a mechanical pencil. I also have a cozy condom to keep the detachable charging cover attached to the pencil/
 
Mine is kept in the box it came with. I want to use it, I take it out, and keep it back when I am done. Not very elegant, I know, but I can't think of any other options for the moment, and the few custom Apple Pencil cases are expensive as heck.

I carry my MBPr in my backpack along with my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil... right next to my real pencil.

I find it frustrating that the cases I use for my iPad 2 through Air all have garter loops for holding a stylus but I couldn't find any similar cases for the Pro 9.7. :rolleyes:

Since I typically carry both my old iPad Air and the Pro 9.7 in my purse (Air is backup in case Pro runs out of battery), I have the Apple Pencil in the garter loop on the iPad Air's case. :p

I only use the iPad and Pencil at home so I store it in the original box it came in. It's actually quite handy as the box slides open and the Pencil fits snugly inside.

I don't know if it's my overly grippy handling but do you find after a few months the moxiware begins to get slippy on the pen? That's why I've used the black rubber washers to stop it sliding.. I'm on my second sleeve now. The washers work absolutely fine and stop it moving, just seems an odd issue to have considering how tight it is going on initially.
 
yes, after a couple of months it loosens it's grip and gets slidey around the pen. but not to the point of too slidey and slides off. i can live with it personally. but the washer idea sounds interesting.

This is what I use. The case works brilliantly. The only flaw I've noticed is actually a design of the Apple Pencil's software itself. When in the case and the iPad is being used, the Pencil is motion, so it drains battery. The Apple Pencil was apparently never designed to always be attached to the iPad (hence probably why Apple doesn't offer a good solution).

I still get a day or two of relatively heavy usage out of the pencil (I'm a musician and I use it for annotating music all the time) but I used to get more time out of it when I didn't have it constantly attached and in motion.

There are also several versions on Amazon that work with the Smart Keyboard (they just offer the back cover/Pencil holder, not the flip/fold front).

The trick is to turn Bluetooth off. That severs the connection.

Yeah I figured that out when I looked up why my battery life was down dramatically. Unfortunately then that's just an extra step to use every time I want it which isn't a perfect solution because I bought the case to have it always available and I really like using it as an "always ready to go" annotation tool as a real pencil used to be for music. I love the reliability of the Apple Pencil and the device compared with the Surface I got rid of but I think the charging system/cap were kind of half-brained for Apple.
 
Wow lots of different options that people use. I thought there may be some most popular item but apparently not. So far I like the stylus sling because I can remove it and such. The cases with it on the side seem odd to me.

Great tip on turning off bluetooth to not kill the battery while not in use!
