When everything was slow charging, we are accustomed to charge our devices overnight. But now with even cheap Android phones support some sort of faster charging, and with Apple pushing people to buy their 20W charger (so there will be less and less people using their puny 5W charger), do we still even need to be concerned about overnight charging?
Example on my Galaxy A71. Even when i actively use it, it’s still at least a day and a half phone, meaning I end the first day with enough charge to cover half of the next day. So now I don’t even bother charging it overnight. I just charge my phone whenever I have the chance, and I hardly ever charge my phone to 100% anymore. It’s basically drifting between 30 to 80% on and off with a bit of charging here and there whenever I have the chance. And I feel that this might be even better for the longevity of the battery itself. With fast charging, I’ll just top up my battery a bit here and there whenever.
What’s your guys’ habits? Has it changed compared to the days before faster charging?
