I like simple and clean. Widgets are on other screens (Evernote, SoundHound, etc) as are folders. I have a single row along the bottom of every screen to follow the clean lines look.

can you post that background. I know it is mostly black, but really like it

I personally like to keep things clean and simple. I have no problems going into my app drawer to open apps that I don't use as much. I have my power toggle widget and a weather widget. Then I have my most frequently used apps on the bottom half.

On a separate note, does anyone know how I can get rid of the Google search bar at the top? Whenever I try to hold it down I can't remove it. Or at least make it more inconspicuous?

I love Nova Launcher Prime it keeps my Home Screen clean.

I had it on my hTc One but I like Blink Feed so I put it back to stock. This is my Samsung Galaxy S4 with BobClock & Simple Text. I use Gestures to launch apps.

Looks good. Just installed Simple Calendar but can't find in Settings, how to make it transparent. Any help?

Sure, I can help.

If you've already got the calendar on your homescreen, you can just tap on the right side of it to access it's settings (it's invisible, but you'll see it highlight when you touch it).

Then go to Appearance...Background Color...and underneath the color spectrum you'll see a bar with "Alpha" in the middle of it. You should see a little slider in the middle of this bar (it will probably be right there where it says "Alpha"). Slide this all the way to the right (towards the lighter side of the shaded bar) and then hit OK. Now hit your back key and then tap the check mark in the top right hand corner.

That should do it. Let me know if you have any other questions. :D

This looks great! As far as the Google Search widget goes, it looks like you're using either a Nexus 4 or Galaxy Nexus? If so and you're running the stock launch, you can't remove it.

However, if you install another launcher like Nova, you can choose to remove it altogether or have it look like the Google Search bar from either Jellybean (the one you've got on your screen) or Ice Cream Sandwich.

You are absolutely correct... just picked up a Nexus 4. I think I can live with it for now. BTW thanks for posting the background and the simple text idea. It looks super slick!

No problem! Glad I could help. Personally I use it all the time, but I like the ICS version better (the simple outline of the box and not shaded in like the JB version), so I use Nova on all my phones.
