Longtime Mini fan. I got an iPad Air (2022) a couple of months ago to go along with my Mini 6. I use the Air while watching TV and will use it as a second screen when watching college football. But the Mini still gets plenty of use. It really is the perfect size. I take it on the go with me and use it when I want to read/surf while laying in bed.

Will definitely get a Mini 7 if/when we actually get one.

I came across this thread after buying a Mini yesterday and wondering how people were using them. My main iPad is a12.9 Pro, I use an iPhone 15 PM, and my main Mac is a 16". I picked up the Mini because I wanted something larger than a phone for most daily tasks that don't require me to lug around the 12.9 with the heavy Apple keyboard and pencil.….
I rarely carry the (heavy) Magic Keyboard with my 12.9 IPP. Once you get the hang of it, the on-screen keyboard is large enough for decent typing. When serious typing is required, I bring the much lighter and more flexible Apple Smart Keyboard Folio (often selling for 1/2 price on eBay).

But like you, I mainly bring my Mini 6 because it’s larger than and more task-capable than my 15PM.

I use my Mini as an e-reader as well as an EFB for flying little airplanes. The 11" Pro is pretty light, but still too bulky for either of my (admittedly) specific use cases. I'm hoping they thin out the next version of the Mini, but I've given up hope we'll see any of the other Pro features like a better screen, etc...

I guess from their silence that the OP has learned enough use cases and that an iPad mini actually is surprisingly useable for the members here.
