My iMac sits on the desk, my ageing MBP next to the bed, and the iPhone lives next to my keys and only comes with me when I go out. I don't see a need to carry any of them around the house with me.
That's why I get so frustrated with the iPad commonly having to wait a year to get features that the iPhone gets. I don't carry my iPhone around in my house. I use my iPad!

Do you leave a device in a specific room, or take multiple around the house with you?
Phone stays in my pocket (usually), or within arm's reach if I'm sitting.

Laptop stays at my desk (unless I've specifically carried it somewhere to work elsewhere).

Tablet stays in the last place I used it - usually either a backpack (if traveling), or bedside (if watching a movie in bed). Tablet gets the least amount of use so I just power it off when not using it to save battery life.
