I start selecting text until it starts scrolling.

LOL! I used to do that sometimes.

Nowadays I mostly use my mouse's wheel (or scrollball), but sometimes resort to the arrow keys when I want to rest my elbow on the chair armrest.

I scroll like butter. :D

But in all seriousness, on my iBook I use 2 finger scrolling and a mighty mouse with my iMac G5. :)

two-fingered trackpad on my MBP, and scroll wheels on keyboard and mouse at work on an MS desktop pro elite wireless somethingarather cool thingo... pfft.

I prefer using my iMac so I use my logitech mx518's scroll wheel.

I got that mouse the other day, and i love it. Just need to finish using USB overdrive to set up all my games properly.

I use Mighty Mouse scroll function.

I think my Mighty Mouse has determined it will never scroll down again though. :(

I would use a stylus, if the DS browser came out here or in Europe.

For right now, I'm stuck with using an outdated scroll wheel. :D

Two-fingered scrolling is amazing. I was a bit skeptical when I first got my Powerbook, but now I don't know how I ever lived without it on my old iBook!

Yep -- it's absolutely fantastic!

And I'm quickly finding two-finger tap for right-click better than a 'real' second button.

When I'm using my work laptop (a Dell D610) I'll use an external mouse 90% of the time. When I have to use the trackpad, I'm lost without 2-finger scrolling (the side-scrolling feature requires more conscious effort than 2-finger), and in all honesty, the right-button just doesn't feel nice to use (I prefer tapping to buttons anyway).

Using a mouse, I naturally use the wheel. However, the 'tilt' feature on my Microsoft mouse's wheel is next to useless. It's really uncomfortable on the knuckles to be pushing things left to right with the end of my finger.

Now... if only Apple would produce a decent trackpad driver for the MBP's in Bootcamp :D *dreams*

I can't vote because I use two methods:

1. mostly two-fingered scrolling but
2. the scroll bar for longer distances because it's quicker

2-fingered trackpad... sooo smooth :D

Two fingered scrolling definitely.

I sometimes use Cmnd + down, but can't use Comnd + Up.

For those that are bound to ask why, Command + Up is my Quicksilver hotkey. It just felt a little bit more natural than the ctrl + space that it was set on before.
I use fn+fn for QS. It's so handy! :D
