You can also do the opposite (scrolling very slowly) by keeping one finger on the pad and making the scroll-movement with the other.

I use my index finger for pointing, index and middle for scrolling, with tapping on. I only use the button (with my thumb) for dragging. I don't have that activated.

I use my right hand on the trackpad, thumb on the button, first and second fingers on the trackpad (use whichever I feel like at the monent :) ) and if I need to hit enter or use the directional pad I can use my 4th finger, works pretty well. I keep my left hand over the left side of the keyboard so I can start typing with that (and if its a lot of stuff I use my right as well) and if its short I don't use my right hand at all.

Just my own little way of working :)

I keep my left hand on the keyboard, to press the cmd key

My right hand has its index finger and the middle finger to move and scroll with the mouse, and the base of my thumb and the thumb its self presses the button

I'm exactly the same (and glad I didn't have to describe it myself :p)

Hmm. I just keep my hands on the keyboard, and use my left thumb to both mouse around and then to click the button. Although I suppose that if I'm using the trackpad for more than a quick mouse around, I'll take my whole left hand off the keyboard and use my index and thumb to mouse and select, respectively.

I can't use the tap feature, because inevitably I'll wind up selecting when I don't want to select, and it bugs me. Plus, I like the tactile feedback from the clicking of the button.
:) What can I say?

Took me a while to get used to scrolling with my MBP's trackpad but now I love it - it is perfect. I love the sensitivity feature; faster you move your fingers the bigger the scrolling coverage.

I agree completely. People sometimes think it's weird (esspecially if they're Windows users) but I find it to be very easy and more natural.

Another agreement, how did I ever manage without two-fingered scrolling, it really is so natural. LOL that sounds like an ad. <3:apple:

If only I was good-looking enough for TV!:p Seriously though, it gives me better control than the PC "bars" that are off to the side of most notebooks.

Wow, I'm more of an aberration than I thought.

Right thumb, mouse pointer / sometimes tap.
Left thumb, mouse button sometimes
Left pinky, crtl or fn

Don't have two finger scrolling on my machine, but on my dad's i just use both thumbs.

This keeps my hands on the keyboard 95% of the time ... I actually wish I could get a good desktop keyboard that let me mouse the same way :(

Depending on how im sitting, I'll either:

Use my left thumb to move/click, or use my right index finger to scroll, and then when i go to click, i'll use my index finger and scroll with my middle finger if i need to drag somewhere

I love this too - but it really freaks out my work colleague when he tries to use my computer. He shoots off to the hot corners and wonders what the hell he's just done to my machine. He'll also tap the pad to try to click. Humorous.

Haha. I love it when my mates try to use my Mac - get paranoid when they open Expose by mistake, or hide all windows by mistake.

I (right-handed) use thumb on click, index and middle on trackpad (index is primary, middle used when scrolling).

And I keep the pinky hovering over APPLE when web browsing or organising files.

I use my index finger to move around the trackpad and have my thumb on the click button. I didn't think that people did it differently than that as everyone I know who uses a laptop does it that way.
