Or get a refurb iPad Pro 10.5 64GB

Even a refurb 9.7 IPP 32GB is 150% of the price of a 32GB 2018 iPad; refurb store here currently only has the 256GB 10.5s at more than double the price of the new ipad. takes it into very different territory for me.

I have a 32GB iPad and I’m using 10GB I don’t imagine I’ll use much more because I have remote storage everywhere I go

Gotcha. You're looking at a price point.

When I got my iPad 4th Gen 32GB I thought it was plenty. The new iPad 2018 is 64Bit which is a good selling point especially if you want to play games. I see some iPads not able to play those games that require a lot. Before you purchase you could look around and see what you will be using. Check your other devices and maybe add it up?

Its very difficult to tell what exactly is in the OS to see what is hogging up your space (aside from apps you download). Looking around I did notice that the System App is 1.33GB. Messages App will vary but there is a folder for Conversations, Photos, Videos, and Gif and stickers that you share which is connected to all your iOS devices and Macs. So that's another app you have to consider. I don't Message a lot but it says I have over a 1GB on my iPhone and half that on my iPad Pro which is about 6months old. I would imagine that number will increase over time. Safari, Notes, Files apps etc are small but when added up is around 100MB. I don't have a lot of photos stored on my iOS devices but I know that my friends who have those 16GB/32GB iPhones are always trying to move their photos to create space.

Other Apple apps aren't that huge but if you have a lot of content they will push you to your limit. My iBooks is 1GB and TV app is 5GB because I downloaded a few movies. Overall I'm using about 26GB on my iPad Pro 256GB and don't feel pressure to delete anything. Those that are saying they are managing well with the 32GB, I was saying the same when I got my first iPad lol #lessonlearned

I mostly want it for doodling/drawing diagrams when making PPTs; I can't see myself using it for consuming content that much. I was ready to go all in and get a maxed out 10.5 when they were announced, but I just couldn't justify it at the price point, especially as my ipad usage over the two months I was mulling it over was... zero. At the price the 32GB is I can justify getting it for what I want (and don't mind buying Apple Pencil, as its a separate product with a lifespan unconnected to that of my ipad). Photos and videos take up about 80% of my iphone but I probably wouldn't have either on the ipad.

Okay so either the 32GB or 128GB which are a $100 difference. $309 vs $409? $89 for the pencil. Total is under $500. Still good either way.

I'm still pulling for the 128GB
