My Max was better than my 8 Plus which is only a few months old and still at 100% battery health. Even in a low signal area it was doing very well. I miss it.

Haven't done any testing or measuring -- just occasional observation-- but I've noticed my Max getting much better battery life than my X. Mind you, I already considered the X battery life to be adequate, so I'm quite pleased.

One other thing I've noted is that battery loss during actual use seems to be lower on the Max than the X, at least from my own experience. Perhaps due to the more efficient low-power vs. high-performance cores.

yeah im ready to take my second one back

battery is barely getting me through a work day.

Disable meaningless notifications, keep brightness between 30-50%, take auto lock off of 30 seconds, reinstall ios12 with the ipsw file and you Sould be ok

XS MAX
im getting no where near what i was getting on my X

left work 8pm last night at 100
today at work 11am 32%

mind you i slept for 7.5 hours....lol

Are you in a spotty signal area? That's a known battery killer and could be the reason the X is faring better.

thanks but should we really have to do all this with a fresh out of the box phone ? know what i mean.
my X was better regarding battery....

what are the chances i got 2 bad ones from best buy :)

I know it all depends on how you use your phone, but my Xs Max still has a lot of charge left compared to X at end of business day. For me around 80% Max compared to 50% on X.

Battery life on the XR was a selling point. I don’t see the battery on the Max being a selling point whatsoever. I knew it wouldn’t be great. 6+ was the same way. Was good but not mind blowing.
What?? The 6 plus had outstanding battery life. Apple put a smaller battery in the 6s plus plus the 2gb ram. More ram and smaller battery in the 6s plus meant less REAL WORLD battery life.

Those who went from 6 plus (2014 edition) are well aware how good of a battery life it had. It was a phone that was under powered as well. And that actually helped with its battery life.
