Android most certainly is NOT a mess. I guess that Swiftkey keyboard many people are using now was written by an idiot? What about the official FlipBoard app? etc. Android apps aren't written by idiots.

Can we for once be objective about this, or not?
iOS is awesome, Android is awesome and WP is awesome.

Everything can't be awesome.

Android IS a mess. You have fragmentation from Amazon, Chinese vendors, Samsung, HTC, LG, etc. Chinese vendors like Xiaomi, Smartisan, Huawei, etc. all put non-Google services on their smartphones. Amazon is completely Google-free, even changing the UI and such. Then you have deep skinning going on from Samsung, HTC and other major vendors.

If you want to be objective, look at this article from ArsTechnica:

http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2014/08/the-state-of-android-updates-whos-fast-whos-slow-and-why/

There are so many half-baked apps in Google Play. A good portion is straight up malware. The overall quality of apps is pretty low.

After reading SnowLeopards comments in other areas of this board, I don't believe that is possible. If it doesn't have an Apple logo, it sucks. If you have anything negative to say about Apple, he'll say you are wrong and Apple is right.

Best just to put him on ignore. There is no debating with someone like that.

If you read some other posts I've made (instead of selectively picking the ones that support your erroneous conclusion), you'll see me saying really good things about certain Android manufacturers. HTC's One (both M7 and M8) is wonderful. The camera is a bit disappointing, but the rest of it is extremely solid. I like Xiaomi's new Mi4 a lot. Sony's Xperia line is amazing. Smartisan's new smartphone is worth looking at. Lenovo just introduced some smartphones that I recommend. Let's be fair. Every platform has its strengths and weaknesses. But saying Android is not a mess and not fragmented is really beyond any kind of logical and reasonable debate. It's just plain dumb.

If WP actually had better apps and services than Google, Microsoft didn't shove their ecosystem down on our throats and gave us more personal customization, I believe WP would be a better platform with a more modern UI than the static icons of iOS and Android. It seems iOS and Android seems stuck with smartphone interfaces of the 2000's like Windows Mobile, BlackBerry OS, old Palm OS, and Symbian but more refined. While Windows Phone feels more 2010's where there is NOTHING like it right now. You won't find live tiles anywhere else. Not on BB10, Sailfish, or Firefox OS. I can skin Android using WP8 theme, but the entire language doesn't match the Android apps. Theming is only a superficial thing.

You stated you liked webOS's UI but it was a straight up clone of iOS for the most part. Palm even hired away some big developers from Apple to work on webOS initially. I'm confused as to why you would say that?

I love Windows Phone. It's not perfect and yes, it's missing some important apps (mainly Google) but it's a really great operating system. I was using it side by side with Android for a while and I prefer Windows Phone. Sadly I lost my Windows Phone a few months ago but I hope to get another one soon

So you want WP, just nothing like our it's right now?
