Just a picture of how i image Leopard. 100% fake
Features:
• Dock - feeling of 3D and with nice reflections
• Finder - in usual white back displays reflection that is filmed from iSight, creating feeling of watching in water (since its aqua)
• Tabs in Finder

i just wanted to make this concept art for a long time and i finally did it, hope you like it. :)

I agree, the Dock rocks. I would totally love that set up. But Brushed Metal? I don't expect to find brushed metal in Leopard.

allow the things TinkerTool can do to be part n parcel of the OS, id be happy.

allowing for TOP dock pinning would be nice....for some of us.

I like the dock and the tabbed finder feature, but other than that it looks too much like Tiger. I'm hoping for a WAY different look to leopard.

Right now Vista's shiny black theme is kickin' the butt outta Tiger look-wise.

Is the new OS actually hacing tabs???

that would be awesome for many small monitor people or those who have 34839483984 windows open.

Awesome... I would actually start displaying my Dock again if it looked like that... :)

This I don't like, maybe as a novelty thing, but I think I get bored really quickly...
• Tabs in Finder
I still cannot get over this not being a part of Tiger in one form or another.

I agree, it is weird for me to see that image with brushed metal as I have UNO installed and have all my apps similar to what iTunes is like now. I loved the brushed metal when it first came out, but now I like the sleek look they are going for with iTunes and all the apps that have the new style.

No joke, Vista is way nicer than that brushed aluminum. OSX needs an overhaul.

I agree. I hope some of those other features they are holding close are some HUGE innovations that blow my mind. Particularly in the looks department. That would be awesome.

To the OP, love the dock!

I absolutely love the dock. It's much nicer. :) Maybe the water reflection would be better if it looked like water instead of white. And I think it would be really cool if when you clicked on an icon in finder, it made ripples. Now THAT would be cool!

I have to admit, I really like the look of that dock.

At first when I read what you wrote, I thought "oh no not another crappy attempt at "what i want in my os"' picture. (I know, arrogant! but thats me;) ) But I am glad you have proven me wrong.

Like most of the other people here I really like that dock, and i would probably keep one like that up instead of hidden.

How did you actually make that screenshot? Is that what your desktop, looks like? Or did you design that yourself?

I ask this because i would be extremely interested, in a few of the programs you used, if your desktop does look like that.

App windows that touch the top of the Dock would look funny, no? Especially true of windows like Safari where you can't resize below the Dock. I don't really see the Dock taking on the 3D look per se, although it is a neat look.

I agree. It looks stunning, but the point of the rectangular area around the existing Dock is to show its boundary. If the icons extend outside this, it'll have the usability issues spicyapple describes above.

I really like the dock too, good work. :)

Meh... I don't care for the look of Vista, and no, I'm not just an Apple fanboy (okay, I am, but still!). I think people like the look of Vista because it's something new, but when it comes down to it I would still prefer looking at brushed metal day after day than Vista's theme.

How cool would magnification be? And how about that Genie affect?
Slow Mo with res independent icons - simply gorgeous! Perhaps
windows like Safari would ride on a layered track in Core Animation,
sliding easily behind the "mantelpiece."
