White MacBook and about two days. Then I realized it's just a computer and I paid the 1200 euros to use it and to have fun with it. It's just seemed silly to spend your days worrying about something like scratches on your computer.
I don't have my MBP yet, but when it arrives at latest on 3.11. I will baby it as long as possible. That won't mean I'm not using it outside but I try to be careful.
I'm still searching a good case for my Baby, a Firewire Soundcard (Edirol FA101) and a FW-Harddisk.
a week or two after i got my mbp, i had it in a sleeve, designed for it of course, an STM one... i had that inside a shoulder bag thingo... like a messenger bag (soft).
I was walking along, one of the clips on the strap to this shoulder bag just decided to come undone, my whole messenger bag dropped to the floor (asphalt road surface)... corner first.
when i got to my car I inspected the damage and fired it up... front left corner of MBP dented in only just slightly, boots okay, still works 100%..
it pissed me off for AGES.. i was so mad. but now it's cool, no one has ever noticed it, it's very subtle... kinda add's some character now! haha.. at least it's personally marked now
well I still got a 17" / 1 ghz G4 which is still going strong (to be replaced with a C2D) - the only place I got any kind of scratches is on the lower part of the machine, which is mostly due to me moving it around on my desk (although it's seen a good amount of travelling I always try to keep it inside a good case, in the middle of my bag (between a lot of layers of clothes) - so no real damage done despite being 4.5 years old or so.. .. not even repaired!
