I went to an Apple Store to talk about the bending issue of the Magic Keyboard with Numberic Keypad. They said that they have never heard of such thing. Otherwise, there would be a recall. They also made it looked like I sounded ridiculous and asked how could a keyboard flex when it is brand new in a rigid box. They also said that it is impossible to bend it unless I use it in an uneven surface and hammer the keys whey I typed.
I asked a guy if I could get a refund if the keyboard bends within two weeks. He said that if it bends, it is physical cosmetic problem and I would not be eligible for a refund. I asked if the space gray one would have such an issue. He said that Apple does not sell space gray keyboard alone. I have to buy an iMac PRO to get it. I then pointed to him boxes of individual space gray keyboards. He had nothing to say. I approached another sales about possible return. She talked with two other persons. They said that it would be case by case. They cannot promise that if I open the box, I would be able to get a refund if the keyboard is bent.
Should I open the box and try it out or just return it to them?
