For me:

iPhone: phone, every day camera, very useful as a time killer
Macbook Pro 15": every day computer, sits on desks most of the time. used for productivity
iPad: I don't think I use it every day, but useful for the times I'm too lazy to carry around the Macbook pro, so I carry an iPad with a keyboard (useful for class as all I need is note taking and its long battery life lasts most of the school day, also for airplane rides).

my iphone and MBP are in need of an update though and I'm wondering what other people's set up are like
one I'm considering is

iPhone, MBA (replaces iPad and MBP), and large monitor (connects to MBA for home ues)

iPad Mini (adapt it to function as a phone), and iMac or MBP.

Hm. Welllll here's everything currently in our place. I just moved in with my best friend, Micah, and his wife, Clara, and it's a very, very Apple friendly setup and ecosystem we have going on.

Early 2006 MacBook Pro 15-inch 2.16GHz Core Duo / 1GB ram / 100GB HD / OS 10.6 (I literally JUST upgraded it from 10.4) - Clara's

Mid 2010 MacBook Pro 13-inch 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo / 4GB ram / 250GB HD / 10.9 - Micah's

Mid 2010 MacBook 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo / 8GB ram / 250GB HD / 10.9 - Mine

Fall 2007 Mac mini 1.83GHz Core 2 Duo / 4GB ram (can't read past 3GB) / 120GB HD / OS 10.7 - Mine, but setup as guest computer for general use since moving here. We have it hooked up to an extra 26' tv in the living room.

iPhone 5 16GB / white & silver / T-Mobile - Clara's
iPhone 5 16GB / white & silver / Verizon - Micah's
iPhone 5 64GB / black & slate / Verizon - Mine

iPad 4 64GB / black / cellular / AT&T - Micah and Clara's

AirPort Express 2012 - Mine
2 Apple wireless keyboards, 1 wired keyboard, 1 Mighty Mouse, 1 Apple Pro mouse, 1 Magic Mouse, 1 Apple AA battery charger, there's something like 4 MagSafe chargers, 3 1m lightning cables, and 1 2m lightning cable.

As you can guess, my AirPort Express gets it's ass kicked and is put to it's max, especially since I also have an Xbox 360. Geezus. There's sooo many Apple products in this little NY apartment. I love our setup though.

EDIT: If only there was a fourth person that could have taken the picture of us and I could have been in it too and all on our iPhones as well. Haha.

I'll bite...

2nd iPhone 5 jailbroken: everyday phone, camera, blah blah

1st iPhone 5: got stolen from my house, blacklisted as a phone and probably floating somewhere along the East coast as a poor iPod.

iPhone 4: also stolen, blacklisted with unknown whereabouts

iPod Video: cracked screen, lost ability to hold a charge, sits in a drawer.

13" MacBook Pro i5 2011 with 8gb ram: everyday laptop, videoedit machine, lazy FaceTime camera when I don't wanna hold the phone up.

Mac Pro is at home in the US. iMac is also at home in the US mainly for guest use.

I've relocated to China, and so I have my MacBook Pro for daily use. It's basically hooked up to a Cinema display for the time being.

I have my MacBook Air for travel. Not always fast enough, but for most things it is.

iPad mini is for flying and watching movies, TV shows, etc., though the battery life on my MacBook Air seems to last just as long now. The iPad basically sits in my car or at home. I have a MiFi for on-the-go 3G internet needs.

I have two iPhone 5s's; one is my US number, so I'm roaming all day; I do get a lot of folks who call me on it; don't need everyone knowing that I'm somewhere else. VVM works great in this aspect as I can call people back on my time. It also have unlimited data lets me access US only stuff like Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go, etc.; I use all that with video out to a TV at home. My other iPhone 5s is for my local number, and for work. I didn't plan on two of the same phones, but I lost my older iPhone 5 and the replacement got destroyed in an accident.

My iPad 3 basically is in a box.

In terms of other Apple stuff, I have use the AirPort Extreme for AP duties; all my main networking is done on an old Cisco router; considered an Enterprise grade WiFi controller, but that's overkill basically two APs. My non-Apple computers is a ThinkPad X1 Carbon for work, and I have a lot of "spare" phones including a Galaxy S4, HTC One, Lumia 920, Pureview 808.

Not again

Why not? :p

My 4S is my pocket computer and camera and serves as a phone for maybe 5 minutes a month.

I switch between the iPad 2 and the Macbook; sometimes one of them goes basically unused for weeks. The MB's been the favored child for the last few months.

My Apple TV ... plays things on my TV? I love that little magic hockey puck so much.

My iPod's only job is to play music in my car. I also have a fourth gen iPod and gen 2 ipod touch, both dead. :'(

The Apple devices I directly own and use:

MacBook Pro 15 inch (2010): Used as my home desktop computer these days, doesn't move much anymore. I upgraded it recently with a 960GB SSD to really speed it up. Probably replacing it next year with an iMac or Mac Mini.

MacBook Air 13-inch 2013, 8GB, 500GB SSD, i7: My new portable Mac.

iPad 3 64GB Wifi: Used for quick meeting notes/e-mail checking, ebook reading and general on-the-couch web surfing. Probably replacing it with the next generation of iPads, when released.

iPhone 5s 64GB Silver unlocked, on AT&T: My lifeline and brain. :) Personal hotspot enabled, is used as my main tethering device for the iPad and Mac when I'm travelling.

Apple TV third gen.

Work supplied computers:

iMac 27-inch, late 2012 model, 32GB of RAM, i7 processor, with secondary Apple Cinema Display. I'm very lucky to have an awesome employer. :) There's also a lab of about a dozen or so similar iMacs that I have access to when I need it, along with an assortment of Windows and linux workstations. And I have a Thunderbolt dock for my MacBook Air in my office that plugs into an external display, provides ethernet, audio and USB 3.0 ports.

The hand me downs:

My significant other isn't a cutting-edge type, but enjoys getting my devices when I upgrade. Right now those devices consist of:

- Mac Mini, 8GB. (inline to be sold off when I upgrade and pass down my MacBook Pro)
- iPad 2, 64GB, Wifi (inline to be sold off when I upgrade my iPad 3)
- iPhone 5, unlocked, black, 64GB on AT&T. (just handed down, replacing an iPhone 4S 64GB AT&T)

5S (live) + 4S (car iPod) + 3GS (retired, backup phone) + two 17" MBP + iPad 3 + two or three iPods (retired) + ATV2 + ATV3 + Mac Mini Server + Apple keyboards on my work PCs.

Do I want Apple to make me a watch or actual TV set? Not so much.

iPhone 5S (my current greatest Apple love)
Macbook Pro 13" for home
iMac for home (old, not used as much)
iMac for work
iPad mini for home
iPad 2 for work (Evernote is the best app ever)
Apple TV for home
Airport Express for home
Old School iPod 2GB that I sometimes use when working out, but increasingly am using my phone.

I also kept my iPhone 4S as a backup, but not activated... so it is like a tiny iPad mini wifi at the moment.

Wow, I didn't realize how many Apple items I owned until typing out all this.

I still remember my dad bringing home our first Macintosh in the 80s (512 K I believe?). He remained loyal to Apple even through the rough 90s. It must be in the blood.
