My setup:

iPad Pro (testing it as a laptop replacement/main computing device.
IPad Pro Smart Keyboard
Apple Pencil
iPhone 6s (new— I choose the 6s over the 7 and 8 lineup. Not giving up that headphone jack just yet and I hate that dodgy Taptic Home Button.)
IPhone SE (new— Love the smaller form factor and iconic design)
Apple Watch
AirPods
iPad Air 2
Apple TV 4 (new— Broke my 4K TV (don’t ask!!) and back down to a 1080p so no neeed for 4K Apple TV just yet.)
SteelSeries Nimbus Controller (for gaming on the Apple TV and iPad Pro)

That’s my current setup and so far I’m very happy with it, though I’m considering selling the iPad Air 2 since it’s now redundant. I don’t believe I”lol be upgrading to the iPhone X so I’m staying as-is and riding it out with the above setup.

Hmm, lets see... iPhone X, iPad Pro 10.5, Apple Watch, Airpods, Apple TV 4K (2), and an Airport Extreme. I see myself having each of these for the foreseeable future. I tend to update every year.

I keep it simple and minimalist as my uses aren't big.

2016 Retina Macbook 512gb: Web, music, a movie if I am traveling, gaming (90's systems emulators). Portable yet packs a punch. I am not doing anything processor intensive so didn't need a pro. I could have gotten away with an iPad pro, but I wanted a full macOS as I feel its better to navigate.

iPhone X 256gb SG: Just bought last week and love it. Basically replaces my 7 year old DSLR that I didn't use enough or take advantage of the hobby. With the great camera and 4k 60fps capabilities I can't wait to snap and film more. Everything else it just does smoothly.

Its a great combo that works for me. I've been tempted to buy a monitor, keyboard, and trackpad to transform my rMB into a docking station but not that inclined just yet.

12.9 2017 iPad Pro (Pencil and ASK)
IPad Air 2 (I LOVE having two iPads— I use them in conjunction when I’m working. Small one takes the place of paper documents and books— amazing when I’m traveling. Big one is my new “laptop.”)
IPhone 8+
S3 AW Sport
ATV4K
AirPods

Also an ATV 3rd gen that’s not hooked up because I only have one TV. :)

I’ve been selling a bunch of older stuff (phones, watch, a non-Apple camera I don’t use anymore because the iphone is so easy) lately and am literally selling my MacBook Pro today. I just don’t get $1000 worth of use out of it to keep it around. I haven’t used it for anything other than one website since I got the iPadPro. And I will either find a workaround for that one website or just forego it— it’s not worth that much money!

The home setup:

  • iMac 27" late 2015 4.0GHz/16GB/500GB SSD/Trackpad 2/Numeric keyboard as well as the older A1048 klunky keyboard, the latter my preferred keyboard
  • MacBook Pro 15" mid-2014 2.5GHz/16GB/500GB SSD
  • MacBook Pro late-2012 2.5GHz/8GB/240GB Crucial SSD - still an amazing Mac with one of the best keyboards
  • Mac Mini late 2012 2.5GHz/8GB/525GB Crucial SSD/500GB HDD with Kanex wireless keyboard and 24" Samsung display
  • iPhone 5S
  • iPhone 6 x 3
  • iPad 2
  • Time Capsule, latest spec, main router
  • Airport Extreme, latest spec, second router, wired to the first, to serve the other end of the home
  • Smart TV for Netflix and satellite, streaming movies directly from my Mac Mini to all devices using Plex, MacMini holds the family's photo and movie library
  • Wireless broadband incoming (not very fast, but very stable), wired network throughout the home, gigabit switch, Time Capsule with Time Machine backups for the iMac and MacBook Pros, perfectly stable and reliable. DHCP IP reservations for all the devices and the wifi network runs 2.4GHz/5GHz, depending on where the devices find themselves. Mostly connected to ethernet when not roaming
  • 525GB Crucial SSD in an external enclosure used as second backup and to hold large files that would be impractical to use over iCloud Drive all the time
My MacBook Pro travels with me between the home and the office and the iMac is used for graphic design, web development and document editing. iCould Drive ensures I have access to all my important files on all my devices. My biggest asset in terms of software are Paragon NTFS for Mac (vital on the 15" MacBook Pro to connect to office Windows shares, also on the Mac Mini to share and serve Mac and Windows machines, also Plex to the TV); MS Office 2016 (I nail MS Word everyday for large and complex documentation); and Pixelmator Pro for graphic editing. HTML editor of choice is Komodo. Malwarebytes takes care of any possible gremlins that may try to find their way into my digital life.
