Browsing is a basic functionality on multiple platforms and has been for decades. The development of a browser is a complex task whereby the programming has to support the current standards. And some browsers are better than others for different tasks across multiple platforms.
So if this is what you were attempting to say I agree.
Was the RAM in the 2011 not user upgradeable to 8GB, potentially even 16GB being supported? My 2009 MBP I bought with 4GB and almost immediately fitted 8GB from Crucial back in the day (also an SSD).
The Apple silicon machines are great but they have gone a bit crazy with the pricing I think, the 2023 release MBP's were seeing some fairly substantial price cuts with some retailers here in the UK basically from release.
