What about the entry-level iPad 2023/2024, is it too soon? Would now be a bad time to get an iPad 10 as there are no rumours?
Since the last release has been a major redesign, the next one will probably just be a spec bump (e.g. A15 SoC).Thus far, Apple has released a refresh of the entry level iPad every year since 2017.
I just don’t know what changes they can make to the iPad 10th gen without killing off the market for the iPad Air.
I'm down for that but I need a computing device soon. If there was some sort of rumour about the 11 series coming this year I might wait but I've only got until the end of the year before the teacher discount I have access to runs out - only with this discount is the iPad 10 even a consideration (even then it's overpriced in the UK but I can't use the Pros due to eye strain). Clocks ticking for me and I'm impatient!Since the last release has been a major redesign, the next one will probably just be a spec bump (e.g. A15 SoC).

Yes, that's the unanswered question for the future of the base iPad. The above, or possibly keep the 10th and drop the price while introducing the 11th as replacement at $449. But I tend to think this unusual dual strategy was unique this year as the 10th is a significant redesign that greatly differentiated from the 9th. So my guess is the 11th will simply replace the 10th at the same $449 price point.Ah, yes. I’ve forgotten about the A15.
In that case, it’s a very minor spec bump. There’s not much improvement going from A14 -> A15 apart from the GPU.
I do wonder if they’ll be keeping either 9th gen or 10th gen as the $329 iPad or if they’re just gonna ignore that price segment completely.
