That is subjective. FF45 (FPR's base, no matter how much is added) is getting older and is getting less acknowledged by more websites, the interface is slow, and it isn't as lightweight as it can be.

Choice is a good thing.
What was the reason for later Firefox versions not being ported to TenFourFox? FF45 is definitely aging... (released in late 2015 and compatibility with websites will be an issue soon enough) something needs to be done about this...

Even though the FPR releases use the Firefox 45 code base, improvements from later versions are being backported to that.

Wrong. Leopard WebKit while not updated in 10 months is far more advanced than TFF. It's based on safari 11 which is way newer than FF45. Web standards-wise its years ahead. Its just lacking in newer security updates. IceWeasel is based on TFF code and the Arctic Fox PPC OSX port is also partially based on TFF code.

Cheers
Why is Webkit being NEGLECTED? its a great browser, but why are the developers neglecting it? TFF is great but Webkit has so much more on TFF.

Lack of Tiger support. Big reason. Which is not to say Leopard WebKit isn't awesome or useful.

If memory serves, Mozilla added a crucial component in later versions that couldn't be ported to PowerPC and then built off of like previous versions.

Maybe I'm wrong. I don't know, something to that effect.

For many of us, much of these endeavors are passion projects based out of spare time, often formed to personal taste. Dr. Kaiser largely prefers the Gecko rendering engine as opposed to WebKit, so he made the decision to work on a Firefox fork instead of a WebKit fork. And given that there was no real incentive to work on WebKit instead, it stuck.

Although he did make a TenFourKit for a short while, but then dropped it in 2012, so it's 2 years newer than 10.4's Safari 4. It can be found in Macintosh Garden.

Also Webkit still needs a browser around it.

Sure, but you and Appleuser201 talk about Webkit, without the Leopard ;-)
But everything you said, also still stands for Leopard Webkit.

I guess I'm blind as all hell, but where can we find the most current version of both Iceweasel and Arctic Fox for OS X PPC? All I can find in quick searches is Debian stuff and whatnot (or that 10.6 thread for Arctic Fox), but nothing on PPC.

Edit: Nevermind. It was there all along:
Why can't they get Iceweasel instead? Or Leopard WebKit? Or Arctic Fox?
Time to put them to the test!

I am giving my (wonderful) old PPC MacBook to my daughter and it appears that TenFourFox has saved the day.

A request:

EPIC! Books is a godsend for parents by making thousands of books available.

I can run EPIC on my newer MacBooks without a problem, but when books open in TenFourFox, the formatting is completely wrong. This may not be the place to talk about it - if so, I do apologize - but if someone more experienced in TenFourFox-ing could help solve this, my daughter and I thank you in advance :)

If its PPC, its not a macbook. If its not a PPC, its a macbook and you are better off running Snow Leopard or Lion, and using Arctic Fox, Spiderweb or Interweb.

Something tells me he will appear again, this time perhaps having learned a thing or two as we all have had to at some point or another in our lives...
