Wow. You forget the model number but expect others to use a divining rod to establish that, then down the manual, find the correct entry and give you the answer.

I can assure you we have all had to figure out the ins and outs of our own cameras and every camera is at least somewhat different. Even those of us who are retired, have better things to do than your homework.
It’s SX740HS I remembered

Just because you learn how to rapid fire 10 shots at once, won't make you a better photographer. It will just take the same shot 10 times in a row.

I guess you haven't met any of my extended family...
 That's so funny! Well, my wife doesn't appreciate my saying of monkeys, specially orangutans, "as being extended-family members" (she's a redhead). But every now and then I get a laugh out of her :)

That said, one should be able to train a monkey to take photos with tha camera set to continuous shooting mode. When in the military we called it, "spray and pray."

Loving a monkey? ?
Yipee I just played with mr Powershot and figured out how to do continuous shooting high speed or low speed and shot a bunch of pics. Deleting them all was a pain as I had to do this manually since I keep every image I shoot on my SD card. But I am happy I found this new feature.

You can take multi shots with your iPhone.
It’s not about the number of shots, it’s about getting one 3-4 you want to keep. You just delete the others.
I would guess you’ve never been to a professional studio shoot. ?
I don't use my iPhone for most of my photography but I use Mr. Powershot.

Beware not to dilute the essence of what you want to capture, focus on framing and pick your subjects mindfully.

In the words of the great HCB "The photograph itself doesn't interest me. I want only to capture a minute part of reality."

this is a good way to set yourself up for data error and loss. you should offload photos to two different locations. main storage and backup. and you should regularly reformat your card in camera.

It (or “he“, in your case) does what you tell it. If you diligently practice the art of photography, most images will be rubbish, some of them may be OK, and a very, very small percentage of them might be great.
The photos I take each year I maybe consider 3 to be great.

I already do. Photos are offloaded to Mac and then backed up to a USB backup drive. I do the same thing with all my videos shot on my Canon Camcorder. I have 6510 photos and 969 videos on my second Photos library which is designed for Mr. Powershot and my Camcorder, however these are shots dating back to 2003 when I first got a digital camera. Prior to that date everything was shot on film or VHS-C/mini DV tapes.

MiniDV are still digital media, VHS-C should be converted.
Both are tapes and have to be imported into a computer. But hey there's a problem since the camcorder is firewire based and Macs don't ship with firewire anymore. However my best memories are probably on the VHS-C tapes. Converting all my tapes will cost a fortune with legacy box!!!
