zero scratches on my recently bought 2.2GHz MacBook. I baby all my stuff in a ridiculous way.

heck, I'm so freakin' anal about my stuff it's silly. :p

Have you ran into any heat issue utilizing the U-Suit and any other issues. I'm considering getting a U-suit or SeethruHard by Speck.
Thanks
Rich
No problems at all using u-suit. Its a two piece shell and does not get warm at all. I was worried about using the speck shell because it could cause scratches also the speck shell scratches very easy and looks like crap in my opinion. U-suit looks much better and fits like a glove!!:D

TOO MANY TO COUNT on my macbook. I have never treated any of my previous laptops with such harshness and lack of care as my macbook which made me love it even more. It's a tool!

Mine is very worn as well. I have scratches and pits all over the palm rests from extreme use. In school I was used my laptop 10-12 hours a day 6 days a week for almost a month on a huge project and it got very beat up. It doesn't help that my wedding ring scratches it too when I'm not careful. I also slipped and fell on some ice and damaged the corner by the power cord connection.

The top of my MBP was perfect when I surrendered it to a dealer yesterday to have a defective DVD drive replaced. The lady at the service counter flipped it over onto a hard counter to remove the battery and read the serial number. I told her in a very restrained manner that the bottom had rubber feed to protect it and a caring Apple service provider would flip it over onto something soft. She said "oh we're very careful with these" as she all too carefully (in an exaggerated manner) placed it back on the rubber feet. Sigh...... I might need to refer them to this statement of fact after I inspect it when I pick it up

Cheers!

Glen

i managed to drop a stainless steel ruler about 3" from above my MBP and put a sweet little 1/4" red scar in the menu area of my screen. Can only see it from certain angles. Have tried to scour out with a Q-tip and toothpaste to no avail and have heard that certain CD scratch products may take care of this. Has anyone here had any success? cheers, vic

My MBP is brand new, but I take no special care of it. It's a tool, and I have no ego-investment in it. I care about how it works, not how it looks.

I do remove my watch to use it, but I do that because the MacBook Pro scratches my watchband, not because my watchband scratches the MacBook.

I am about to buy a MacBook in 2 weeks, but my HP laptop has a "scratchproof" coating and has about 100 scratches after only 1 year of use...

Alright, the battery release screw thing on the bottom is all bent, the handrest on the right side pops out at an odd angle, when I close the macbook it does not come to rest in the correct position (a bit offset), there is peeling on the black casing by my right wrist, but other than that we're all good.

You couldn't tell if there's any scratches just by looking at mine, but if you examined it and looked at it from different angles then you could see fine scratches all over it. Not too bad. But then again, it's just the top. The bottom looks like a cat used it as a scratching post . Good thing I don't notice since it's usually facing down and I don't see it. :D

MBP bought mid-June 2007.

Lots of scratches (more than I can count) on the top and bottom of the laptop, but nothing on the inside near the screen or keyboard. Doesn't bother me because I can't see the scratches when I am using the computer.
