How many times have you dropped your iPhone?

I have dropped it twice, the first time it was on the top of my head board of my bed and I went to pick it up but knocked it off instead. I fumbled it all the way down to the ground in many foiled attempts to catch it. Eventually after fluttering in and out of my hands 5 times it only had a 2 inch drop to the carpeted floor. The second time I had it on my MacBook as I was carrying it around and it slid off and fell again on the carpeted floor.

After that my iPhone is still perfect =]

I was getting out of my car. And it slipped out of my hand out onto the grass.

It slipped off my iBook in the same sense that you mentioned.
 
freakin' did the ol' on the lap while standing up maneuver twice... I always cry out in pain the split second i feel the weight shift off my lap. Luckily I've caught it once, and the other time it was only like 1ft drop onto carpet. :D
 
AT&T drops my calls far more often than I have dropped any of my phones :p

That being said, I've dropped the iPhone twice. Once on carpet. No problems. And recently, I had it between my legs in the car. Went to get out, phone slipped and hit the concrete. Was in a pouch/sleeve, and just happened to land on the one unprotective edge. So I have 3-4 little nicks in the upper corner of the back piece. No other damage. Oh well. It's bound to happen :)
 
I've had my iPhone for about a month now and the only time I've dropped it was once while it was in my Incase Leather Folio, which is a really great product btw. No others "oops" so far, though with the vice-like grip I keep on it I doubt I'm gonna drop it.
 
i said 1, cuz i've had two "half drops"...

1st. phone was in back pocket and i went to change and dropped my shorts, the phone came out of the pocket 4 inches above the ground and landed flat.

2nd. phone in pocket, went to sit down on bus, phone slipped out of pocket about 3 inches above the seat and hit the seat.

see? half drops! :)
 
I have yet to drop my naked iPhone. I'm sure that I'll gasp when it does happen, but, being that it is naked, I don't mind the little scratches and dings that come with it. It's a phone, and it was meant to be used.
 
Zero. I'm super careful with all my portable electronics. The iPhone is in a CaseMate case with the Crystal Film Set on, too. I keep the iPhone in my front pocket when I'm not using it. The CaseMate case provides a little extra grip.

This is how I feel. I'm certainly careful in how I treat it, but it's not an egg.
 
I have been very careful with my iPhone. I bought the case-mate leather case for it hoping that if I do drop it, the case will absorb most of the hit. I also use the belt clip on it when I leave the house so it wont fall when I sit down somewhere. I have probably caught my phone in air 2 or 3 times and kept it from falling and given myself mini heart attacks as I stumble to catch it. So far I am proud to say no drops for me. *knocks on wood*
 
Ive dropped it twice. The first time was in the bathroom. I was doing #2 and listening to music. I put the iPhone on the edge of the bathtub and when I stood up the headphones pulled on the phone and made it drop. Nothing happened to the phone since it was a small drop and it was inside the incase ruber case. The second time was at work. I put the iphone in my front shirt pocket and bent over to pick up some papers. Down went the iphone! This time the phone was in the powersuport crystal case which flew open but the iPhone fell flat on its face so it didn't bounce out of the case and the front of the case kept the phone from touching the ground. The case got badly scratched though since the floor is cement.
 
none, but that's only counting the iphone i now have. i exchanged another (stuck pixel), and i dropped that one twice.
 
Knock on wood, I haven't dropped my iPhone. But to prevent this from ever happening, I have decided to design the "iGlove". It will consist of a tight fitting leather glove that will have a pocket that your iPhone slides into in the palm. This way, it nevers leaves your hand and is ready at a moments notice. Should work great since I can never put the thing down anyway.
 
I dropped mine while pulling it out of my pocket but caught it before it hit the concrete.

It must have been my special ninja skill powers emerging from deep inside me revealing my true destiny...
 
i dropped mine twice in the same day. i leave my phone on my lap while driving and i forget its out and get out, bam onto the pavement only a few scratches on the corners no biggy, went and got an invisishield and now i drop it and dont care haha i like showing people how durrible this thing is. and its funny watching peoples faces as it drops to the ground :)
 
I juggle-dropped mine, and for some inexplicable reason, i kicked it to save it. Into a file cabinet. it was a loaner from apple, so i wasn't too heart broken, and there was no (apparent) damage.

lmao. i feel you on this. when i first got my first phone, id always leave it on my lap while driving. and when id get up and out of the car id feel it slip down so id make these crazy ass movement with my feet to HOPE id cradle it with my ankle/the tongue of my shoe. needless to say, im sure people thought i was busting out some weird ass dance moves everytime i got out of my car.


and it only worked once :rolleyes:
