Please keep this thread simple. Just your 3G Data usage for the life of your iPad or each statement cycle.

Got to ---- Settings/General/Data Usage

I'm at 74MB since May 15th.

I reset yesterday (6/1) to start a new 30 day billing cycle and I'm already at:

received: 597mb
sent: 23.9mb

That's that's my usage in 1 day.

2GB is NOT enough for an average user... 5GB would be closer to what I would be happy with.

Well, according to AT&T, 98% of their data plan users use 2GB or less.

So I would respectfully disagree with you statement. ;)

I used 2GB last month with no music or movie streaming. Mostly email, surfing, and checking the Macrumors iPad wallpaper thread...

ive used over 3gig at the end of my 30 period and cancelled my account 2 days ago. but now that this new plan announced today, I'm gonna go home tonight and pay that 29.99. /sigh :(

But why should you have to. Defeats being able to catch up on TV while on a train, etc. Compromises the usability of the iPad. This is very bad.

I disagree. I don't think that not streaming off 3G compromises the usability at all. Watching tv over 3G is not realistic given the current state of the cellular networks in the us. And remember, you can still DO it, you will just have to pay through the nose for the privilege, as well you should. ;)

i wish i had a 30 day "free trial" period to figure out if 2GB is enough for me or not. I do travel about 6 days of the month, usually using all 3G while away. I am thinking I will be grandfathering myself in June 6th at 11:59pm

I thought I used more. But in the past 6 months, the most data I used in a single month was only 208 mb.

Since 5/24, 50mb sent and 389mb received. All email and web. I think 2gb is probably enough. I'll really only be signing up for 3G for vacations a couple of times a year anyway.

Ive watched TV for years over my sprint connection, so to say its not realistic is well not realistic :p

I was at 3.2 GB before I reset after my first 30 days of unlimited service. I usually ran at about 3-4 GB on my iPhone before my iPad. I have used 97.8 MB since 7:00 am this morning with no streaming at all...just web serving and receiving e-mail.
