$0. Try and keep my stuff for as long as I can too. I don't subscribe to any of the services either.

@ssledoux RE: Apple Music - That doesn't seem like a bad idea. Even if you spend a little more than that, it'll still work out better for you.

Every year less than year before... getting old makes me less excited about iAnything

So, does that mean at one point you'll stop buying Apple products?

For me, it's once a year, but that's one in a blue moon. I hardly ever buy Apple products now, as there is no reason to, Mine just keep lasting..

Zero centavos. I bought this 2011 iMac used so I can thankfully say I have never given Apple a direct cent. Pride, or my downfall? :eek:o_O:confused::mad::(;):):D:p

I'm gonna ballpark it at $650, 700 maybe?

• $120 a year on iCloud storage. The 2TB is overkill, but the next step down is too small. It's massively useful.
• probably $70 on apps
• maybe $70 on movie rentals, depending
• on average, I guess $400 a year on hardware (upgrading a phone every 2-3 years)? *

If we start talking about things like subscription to HBO or in-app stuff that's billed through Apple, it goes up probably a couple hundred a year.

* The suckiness of the butterfly keyboard certainly has saved me some money on that front, though, because I haven't upgraded my MacBook in like 5 years now. If they ever start using good keyboards again, my credit card is gonna take a hit.

Probably something like £25 a year on average since 2016. But this year about £150-£200 so far.

If it helps.. my intent was an amortized cost per year based on how long the products will last..

Here's a few things off the Apple Store.
It show's the bulk of it. Some were ordered on the wife's account, some things like AppleTV's came from BestBuy.
Then there's Apple Arcade, Apple Music Family, iCloud 2TB.

$540 the last 12 months. Mostly Apple Music, iTunes Match, and various purchases of movies, iOS apps, etc. Haven't purchased any new hardware for awhile. Though my 7-year-old Mac Mini is hopefully going to be replaced before too much longer.

Over here
Up until 2018 it was around $10k each year with new devices, upgrades, service and so on. In 2019 if you take away the new MBP I returned due to the dodgy keyboard it has been about $1k which I have spent on a new iPad Pro 11 plus remaining services.

Apple has largely lost me and my family, I only keep a Mac Mini as I do prefer macOS for certain work. This time next year if Microsoft comes good with their product line-up, I suspect I will have even less.

Way too much this year.

My wife is about to need a new notebook so that will likely be a birthday present for her in late November
