I use it a lot, more than any other apps. That's the reason I managed to survive using BlackBerry Z10 for a year as my only device. BB10 browser is pretty great.

How much do you use your Web browser?

Honestly on my mobiles, not a great deal. Nearly all the sites I visit online have mobile apps of their own or there are apps that cover them. It's usually only when opening an external link in one of them or when doing a quick search for info. Other than that - not so much.

I'm banned from Macrumors on Tapatalk. Love the app, but it boots me out.

So far, it appears to be because I am a Demi-God

I had this issue but it resolved itself in time without any intervention.

Edit: Damn didn't see this was an old thread that had been revived

Ironically I find myself using mobile apps less nowadays since many are simply wrappers for their mobile site. I figure I might as well use the browser.

There are plenty of exceptions, of course, so I do still have many mobile apps.

One of my biggest annoyances, however, is when following a link to a site that has a perfectly good mobile version of their site--a site I might only need that one time--but I have to endure the "please download our app!" crap before I can proceed. Sorry for that little rant.

I use my browser for everything and view sites in desktop mode. The only programs I installed on my phone are ones for Google products, Vanilla Android products (Google Keyboard, Google Camera and so forth), games and things that control a myriad of bluetooth electronics I have (Check engine light code reader for cars for example).

Weird and random question I know bit do you use it much or is most of the source of your usage is via apps such as Facebook, Twitter, sports apps, news apps and for example I post Alot via Tapatalk. Never post here on the browser.

I use it a TON, but mainly because of having such a large screen on my Note 4. If I had a smaller phone I don't think I'd use it much at all. Tapatalk is nice at times for forums, but other times it sucks and I have to go to the browser to accomplish something. I'm not really a social network kind of guy so find little use for those things. I love Google now on my homescreen and the news bits it has, but those also lead me to my browser which is a good thing.

I use my browser all the time. Maybe my Top 3 app next to Messages (for texting) and QuickPic.

Been using CM Browser and loving it! Deleted (but backed up) Opera Mini and the default MIUI browser which are both great in their own right. CM is just so fast and smooth. Only Chrome might match it but CM is more lightweight.

Some of my apps are just bookmarked or featured on the home screen of the browser. Takes out some of the clutter in both home screen, drawer, and storage space. I deleted apps for ClickTheCity, IMDb, OLX, and PhotoBucket. Some of them are just website launchers when their mobile site is just as useful. It creates a sorta hub without me scouring to find the app.

I use apps except where none are available or where no quality app is available, and then I use a browser.

Probably the most used thing in my phone, its an absolute pleasure to web browse on the Note 4, the display and incredible batt life make it perfect for it, I use my iPad 4 far less now.
I use a combo of Opera Mini and Chrome depending on what I am browsing and doing.

I browse in portrait mode, unless I am streaming something, then I go landscape.

I use my browser alot but I must say I might take back some praises of CM Browser. Yeah, it is fast like a Cheetah the developers are named for. But it is also quick to kill my battery life. I don't want to use Chrome because it uses RAM and burns batt just as fast. I didn't use UC Browser because that app uses up 100 mb being opened. I don't really like Dolphin no matter how much praise or if it has flash. I like a browser that doesnt reload the page. Opera Mini is still one of the best for me after all these last 7+ years even though it is hardly perfect with its compressed sites. Low data use, low RAM, low batt use is what I look for in a mobile browser.

I am now using ATLAS browser as the default and so far, so good. Gives me options like Hi-Fi or Lo-Fi view and works well with my Adblock Plus app. It took a little time getting used it but I like how the default settings is a swipe away. Switching between Hi-Fi and Lo-Fi view is easy. And it doesn't need to reload a page if you back or forward similar to Opera Mini. I think CM Browser was killing my battery about 33% faster compared to Opera Mini.

Uninstalled Atlas browser because my SwiftKey kept blocking the message box here while on mobile version. I think Atlas still have potential to get better and may go back to it again if they can improve the text flow but I didn't see much difference in battery life which kills 14% every hour without streaming. Went back to CM Browser only because it does not eat up RAM like Chrome and UC Browser do.

But the most battery/data efficient is still Opera Mini. I am at 94% after using Opera Mini for 30 min. It hits 88% after 1 hr. CM Browser or Atlas after 1 hr hits at 86% or less. A 2% difference may not mean much but that is an extra 2 hrs SOT for me. 6 hrs vs 8hrs SOT on Wi-Fi. Opera Mini might feel limited with its compressing but still king of battery/data efficiency among browsers.
