I know I'm probably paying the standard but...........

I have 2 iphones on my line and I get something like 15% off for being employed with my company and my total bill comes out to almost 190.

I have unlimited text and I'm not sure how many minutes but with rollovers and such from AT&T I've never come close to going over on my minutes.

The data is annoying and I feel like im usually connected to WiFi most the time...we get 2GB per line and the past couple months I've been having to pay an extra $10 to get an extra GB because I've been going over. The annoying part is I've been going over with like 5-7 days left in my bill cycle. I wish unlimited data was an option at AT&T. I'm seriously considering switching carriers for unlimited everything for way cheaper.

Does anyone know how the Friends and Family thing works at AT&T. The commercial said something about $160 for 4 lines with 10GB of data to share. Anyone on this plan or have any pros and cons about it?

The $160/4 lines doesn't include the cost of the phone. On the $190 you're currently paying, figure that $37.50 of that goes towards phone subsidy so you're actually paying $152.50 for the plan.

If you go the Mobile Share Value Plan route, your cost for a 2-phone 10GB plan is as follows:

$100 unlimited talk, unlimited text, 10GB data
$15 line 1
$15 line 2
--------------------
TOTAL $130 (+tax)

That does not include any device cost. Still, $130 vs $152.50, I'd say you come out ahead with Mobile Share especially if you consider you've got way more useable bandwidth.

Our family's actually on that plan (10GB, 4 lines, $160) and so far, we've never gone over even considering I always have my laptop tethered during working hours. Heck, at the end of the month we'd usually still have 4-5GB still available so I'd stream Netflix to use it up 1-2 days before the new billing cycle starts (wish there was rollover data).

I would switch to Aio wireless. Unlimited talk/text/data (2.5gb fast speeds) for $45 each per line. If you can get a family plan with 3 other people, it's $32 per line. It's ATT coverage as well

Around 40 dollars a month when I owned an iPhone 4. A lot of cellular data usage, while not a lot of calls/texts.

T-Mobile
Simple Choice plan

Line 1:
iPhone 5c
Unlimited talk
Unlimited text
1GB high-speed data

Line 2:
iPhone 5c
Unlimited talk
Unlimited text
1GB high-speed data

Line 3:
iPhone 5s
Unlimited talk
Unlimited text
Unlimited high-speed data

Total
$204/month

51$ a month on a 2 year contract with Fido(rogers)
Unlimited calling
Text
International text
Free tethering
2GB LTE data

I got a nexus 5 for zero $ with the above plan

Edit
I might have got an iPhone but the plan would have been about 54$ a month more and would have had to put 200$ down. $1690 tax in over 2 years made the nexus 5 a no brainer. In Canada you get penalized if you want an iPhone or other premium phones

My average bill for 2 connection comes about $12/month.

1st connection-
100 free text (hardly use 10 a month)
Approx. 350 minutes free calling
1.2GB 3g data

2nd connection (used by my better half) is used exclusively for calling and for data i have a wifi connection.

I thought i was paying a lot but then i saw this thread :p

EDIT-
Forgot to add i am from India as you can make out by my username ;)

I pay £36 per month and I get

- unlimited minutes
- unlimited texts
- unlimited data
- unlimited tethering

I actually don't use the tethering much at all, and could probably do without it so I will most likely remove that at the end of my contract and stick with just unltd data.

My updated plan comes out:

1.5GB 3G/LTE Data
Unlimited Talk
Unlimited Texts

$25/month

Philippines

$45/mo with cricket (used to be Aio).

Unlimited voice
Unlimited text (including international SMS)
2.5GB high speed data, unlimited throttled beyond that

NYC

My monthly bill used to be 35 quid including line rental but then I changed to 02 now I am on a cheaper service plan and bill is averaging 20 quid.

$150 for 2 lines

unlimited everything plus insurance on both phones with Tmobile

OLD:
~$150/month
2 lines unlimited

NEW (NEXT):
$127.50/month
30GB plan/2 lines

Both do not include device prices. Significant savings.
