I've been able to get by with 1GB in my MacBook since my iMac is currently my primary computer and has 2GB, but that my change in a couple of months, so I may have to bump my MacBook up to 2GB.

2 Gb of OCZ PC5400 in my MBP. I upgraded from 1 GB to 2 GB and MAN has it made the world of a difference. My startup time has been reduced drastically. There's a very small difference from 2 to 3 gigs from what I hear though.
