How much RAM for basic image editing?

I think its all down to what speed you find acceptable and how often your doing it.

If your having to do it everyday it will soon get annoying if your computer is sluggish.
 
RAM is like toilet paper. Get as much as you can reasonably afford, because, sooner or later, it will all get used.
