Up until about a month ago I rarely used them with my Iphone X . Since then I have been swiping right more often to check up on news , weather and shortcuts . Anyone else love them ? Or do you have any opinion on how Apple can make it better?

I relied on them heavily back in iOS 6.

Once Apple removed them in iOS 7 (and gave them back later), not so much.

There was a nice jailbreak tweak for iOS 6 called Dashboard X which would allow you to put widgets on the springboard, but it was never updated.

Don't use them now really.

I use the news app widget every day, the battery widget, the Calender widget and I have a calculator widget which I use as my calculator without than going into the app.

I use them quite a bit between calendar showing my events for today and tomorrow, reminders that are overdue or due today or tomorrow, weather for today and the next couple of days, sports scores for my favorite teams, favorite TV shows airing new episodes today, data counter from my cellular provider showing my usage, etc.

KLOK to keep track of different time zones, Drafts + Workflow + OmniFocus as a diary/manager, Google Assistant for information, Google Transit Departures for catching the train.

I must admit I very rarely look at them. If I get a notification I open the phone and navigate to the apps I want through habit. I added all the widgets I felt I’d use but tend not to remember they are there.

Weather and Google transit times are fantastic.

It's weird there's no similar transit widget on Pixel phones and looks like Google is slowly killing them on Android.

I use them everyday for a quick check on the weather (Accuweather), sports scores (ESPN), to access my loyalty cards (Stocard), and to see what's coming up (Up Next).

The Apple Watch is a good enough alternative to iOS' terrible widgets, in my opinion at least. If I can't have them on my homescreen at least they are on my wrist.

I still look at my widgets a couple times a day. Calendar, carrot weather, google local traffic, and google assistant

very often.

i use widgetcal for my calendar which shows my work schedule at a glance. if i need to find out what day i'm working on 6 months from now then i can without logging into my work portal.

also got the weather, google maps travel times for work/home and scores for my fav basketball team.

I use it to check the battery status, the weather (weather network) , and up next for my calendar events... That’s it i tried using other ones but always go straight to the app and 3D touch on them...
