I charge my Razr every 2 days usually, but all too offen by the afternoon of the 2nd day the loud, obnoxious low battery beep goes off every 5 min.

general 2-4 days for me to charge my cell. Worse was when I had to charge every single day but I was killing the battery with many long phone calls.
Biggest thing that determines how offen I charge it how much I talk on it. I try to charge it when the battery meter gets to 1 bar. Man reason it is not charge every night is I forget to do it.

My Samsung A900 "Blade" cant go a day without charging (i carry a spare battery just in case). I use it quite a bit but i think the bluetooth drains the life out of the battery fast. From what i hear bluetooth does that to about any phone though.

Hmmm, where did Samsung get the name "Blade" from   ;)

Yea, BT drains down my Razr pretty quick when I use BT.

Got 12 days out of my SE K750i recently (very light use as I'm at home for a couple of weeks). I was kind surprised it lasted so long, and there was still 8% left.

Generally it will last a week, but I usually just charge it every 2-3 days.

I don't have a phone at the moment, it got stolen.

Just reserving my place for when I get a new phone.

Every day...I pretty much make it a habit to throw both of my cells on a charger when I get home from work. Actually one of them, my personal, could probably go 2-3 days without a charge, but I charge it at night anyway. The work one is older and can't go a whole day without a charge. I'm hoping to get rid of that one and get a Blackberry to replace it pretty soon...

My k750i lasts for longer than any other recent phone that I've had. It usually lasts about a week with average use of 20-30 minutes talking a day, BT synching every other day and the odd picture being taken.

I was reminded how good it was in terms of battery life watching my mother with hers over the past few days. She has a relatively new Nokia (2-3 months) but she only gets about 90 minutes talk time before it needs recharged and about a day on standby. Nuts!

I have a 3 1/2 years old Sony Ericsson T68i that way overdue for a replacement (actually considering getting a Z520i tomorrow). The T68i has after all those years a lot of issues, and some things just don't work any more. But the battery is still good, and still lasts for more than a week, with light to moderate use. Fantastic little phone, stylish, easy-to-use and with just those features I want(ed), that I will dearly miss, but it might just be time to "retire" it... :(

Every week :) My Siemens M55 is just going so strong after 2 years. Though I'm looking into getting a new phone, or a cast-off from my new-phone-every-week-literally-cousin.
I've had no credit on the thing for months so I only use it for receiving calls, it's my alarm and for the occasional note taking device.

... and Vertu Ascent ...
Now seriously:

Vertu Ascent: $3,850

Powermac G5 Quad: $3,299

yeah...

Back to the topic: I just recently got a Motoroal C139 as a gift, as a replacement to my aging Nokia. My old phone's battery used to die everyday, always in the middle of a phone call. The new Motorola claims to last for 450 hours standby, but I still didn't have it for that long :)

I can go 2-3 days with my SE T290, but I usually put it on the charger every night. It would most likely be longer, but where I live, there's no Cingular network, so I think it drains the battery faster while looking for a network-thats how it seems anyway.

When my Samsung E700 was new, it would last a good three-four days. Now I pretty much charge it every second day as it runs down a lot quicker. The screens all broked and the camera doesn't work either. :( I won't have to worry about it too much though because I hope to have a new phone by the end of next month (Nokia 6280 hopefully).

Since there are lots of RAZR owners in this thread, and I'm a notorious threadjacker, and also an egotistical and self-centered sort of person...

Can I ask two questions, at least one of which is related to my original question? :D

1) When your RAZR syncs, does it seem to upload a large amount of data to the computer, even when nothing is changed? On my Nokia 3650, if I sync, and then immediately sync again, the first sync might take a couple of minutes, but the second sync would take less than half a minute -- very quick. On my RAZR, it seems like it's always refreshing contacts and calendar entries that haven't changed. This is a T-Mo V3 with iSync -- nothing special beyond that.

2) The unrelated question.... so the RAZR stores sent txt msgs in the Outbox in the messages section. Is it just me, or is there no way to tell to *whom* the message in question was sent? It seems like that would be an obvious detail of interest. ;) Sometimes there's something I might've said to more than one person, and I can't tell! :( In the Inbox, you can see this quite easily, but I don't see how to see it in the outbox.

My phone is now charging, having made it from about 8 or 9 PM on Monday till about a half hour ago. Hopefully the next cycle will be better. :)

I'veonly had motorolla phones, and they've ALL seriously degraded over time in terms of battery life. At this point I've stopped getting expensive ones and just went cheapo. My phone is less then a year old and I'm LUCKY if I can get 2 days of battery life out of it WHEN IT'S OFF!!!! And by that, I mean, fully charged, off for 2 days, turn it on and get beeping low battery. **** I hate motorollas I think. And now I want to scrap this bitch for a RAZR. Probably asking for trouble.

I have a T637, a couple of years old now, and it has fantastic battery life as well.

There's some good info here about Li-ion batteries:

http://www.batteryuniversity.com/parttwo-34.htm

Basically, consider:

1) removing the battery from laptops if they are on mains power for a long time (high temperatures in computers shorten battery lifespan)

2) only storing a battery at 40% charge

3) storing batteries in the fridge

4) avoiding full discharges, or about 1 in 30 charges at most to keep calibration tip-top.

My pop got some Vertu phone as a gift from the big boss at his works. It's a nice looking and feeling phone but... really. G5 Quad would be my choice :)

Thanks...but this is about cell phones. For the most part, this is all irrelevant to most of us, since the usage profile of most cell phones is always on, 24/7/365 (well, except for plane trips).

Granted, the point about avoiding deep discharges, although I continue to be less than convinced about that. My Nokia, which is doing pretty well compared to its as-new performance at 3 yrs old, has predominantly been charged when it was in the ~10% of charge remaining range, and then back to full. And that's what I did with the Samsung before it. Both phones continued to operate at ~ 70% of their original performance level three to four years, and probably about 400 charge cycles, later....

I charge my phone either daily or once every two days. Usually, just by chance, I run the batteries out completely once a week. (That's about how often I get a super-long chat with someone and before you know it you've got to plug it in.)

Been just a bit over a year and I'm guessing it holds 3-4 days of charge on standby. (I sometimes run to 1 bar non flashing at the end of 2 days if I do chatting now and then, so this is just a guess.)
