I just did a restore on my 3GS lol..

honestly, I almost never restart. Somtimes when i put my phone in my dock the volume controls in the iPod dissapear and when I remove the phone from the dock, I have to restart it to get them back. Thats the only time I restart.

i'm the same as Wicked1, i don't want calls, etc when i'm sleeping, so
i shut it off at night and turning on in the morning when i wake up :)

the last time I restarted my phone. was yesterday because of a firmware update.

Before that, like 4 weeks ago?

Lately, I've had to reboot about twice a month because Safari gets hung for some reason. Haven't pinpointed which forum or website does it yet. Or perhaps it's when I try to flip to a different page while loading another.

What's more obnoxious is having to often open up Settings, which seems to help my WiFi reconnect.

I probably need to do a restore and reboot to clean it out.

I generally restart my iphone anytime it gets a little "buggy." This usually happens about twice a month (every two weeks or so). I restarted it today because when I was browsing Safari, it was taking way too long to render when I zoomed in/out...I'm talking almost a full minute! After restarting the phone it typically runs a lot smoother.

I restart every couple of days on average just to keep things running smoothly. I transitioned from a jailbroken 3G to the 3GS so the frequency has dropped considerably. Even with a full system theme and Lockinfo it runs like melted butter...

I always thought that was what Airplane Mode was for.

It is. Unfortunately, some flight attendants don't understand what Airplane mode is and make you turn it off anyway. I usually do to avoid the headache of arguing.

That's what the silent switch is for...

I may be alone, but I'm a light sleeper. The vibration on my bedside table is enough to wake me if I don't have a fan going.

don't laugh, but I didn't even know what restarting the iphone was until I read this thread and googled it.

I just held the home + sleep/wake button for a few seconds until the shut down came up, then kept holding until the apple came up. So, I'd say this is the first time I've ever done it.

I cut it off every now and then, but that is about it.
