I have a Zagg glass screen protector and it is notched just like the screen, so my notch is Not covered.
This is what I have, it's a local brand, their protectors are brilliant

Interesting, seems like it'd interfere with the dot projector but I guess not. The more you know.
Yep, no problem with Dot Projection or any of the other sensors, I guess it sits in such away that it doesn’t reflect much over and above the screen glass.

Here's how it looks on the phone

0 scratches on my 11 Pro. I don’t use a traditional case, but a soft pouch. It has a glass screen protector and is never set down on a hard surface (goes in its pouch). Yes I baby my phone, and I don’t care what others think. The thing cost £1,000+.

I’m glad there’s a solution to “notched” screen protectors. Those always bothered me more than the notch itself.

I have an 11 PM with no scratches. I was originally going to get one in gold, but the store model in that color had all kinds of scratches on it. When I pointed that out to the sales guy, he said that a lot of customers have complained about the gold models for scratching. So I got mine in space gray and put an Apple case on it. No probs.

I have one deep scratch in the notch area but that’s now covered by the Tempered Glass screen protector, but other than that? Nothing else that’s visible at least.
I have noticed some microscratches on my notch area too, bro! Can’t feel them with my nails and can only be seen in bright light in an angle.

Are yours microscratches too?

Mine had a few microscratches and then one big one that was visible.

My XS Max was stolen this past weekend so I am waiting for its replacement from my insurance, will have a new shiny screen and will make sure it gets protection straight away this time.

Indeed right, brother.

Anyway, is it true tho that these microscratches are just on the oleophobic coating not the glass of the phone i

This could very well be true, but the best way to fix it is to get a Tempered Glass protector, once that is on the phone looks new again and is better protected.
Yep, that is what I’m planning now.

kinda regretting that I didn’t go for the full coverage one when I bought my tempered glass. trusted too much that the glass of the phone is that durable.

Apple leather case on the back of my 11 Pro Max. No screen protector. I place it in one of those microfiber sunglass bags when not in use. Slight micro scratch on screen. Disappointing. Since I upgrade yearly, not sure if a pricey screen protector is worth it.

BTW, my wife's iPhone 8's screen has ZERO scratches on it and she beats the heck out of her phone. It's 2+ years old.

I've had my 6s since the day iOS 9.1 came out. Zero scratches because of using cases and screen protectors.

First thing I did with my iPhone 11 ProMax was to put my ‘x’ on it to see the size difference. Instant gouge on the screen from the x’s camera bump. Pro hadn’t even been turned on. Bummer, but hey, I never use cases anyway.
‘yeah I’d rather no scratched but in the months I’ve used it with no case it hasn’t gained any scratches on the sides or back. There are a few very minor ones on the screen which seems to have a really soft coating.
‘At the end of the day it is a phone, not the Crown Jewels and it’ll soon be superseded so hey.

My iPhone is in perfect shape. Always had a screen protector and a case most of the time!

I have a few tiny spots or marks around the camera on my XR. Screen is perfect as I use a glass protector and I take off the case a couple times a week to clean away any debris and clean phone. Not sure how I got the spots near the camera but must be from one of the cases I use.

iPhone SE that is factory fresh as it’s only a month old, however the one it replaced was also as it was when new. Apple leather case and a screen protector keep things as they should be.

My old 5 however is pretty beaten up, as it never had a case but it does at the same time look pretty cool as it’s well worn and has a nice patina to it.
