I keep it simple.

What I own:
  • iMac 4K (2017)
  • iPhone 6S
Previous Macs:
  • rMBP 13" (2015)
Not finding the "it just works" thing to really be that true anymore.

Just the fact a Mac comes with everything you need is enough to sell me on "it just works." iWork office suite comes preinstalled (the equivalent Windows-native suite Microsoft will charge you extra for) and iLife applications, including iMovie for creating home video projects right out of the box (something Windows 10 doesn't have, it was called Windows Movie Maker on Windows XP).

Very tied.

In our House

iMac (2014 5K)
Macbook Pro 2012 Retina
Macbook Pro 13 inch 2012
2 Apple TV's
2 iPads

and the big one that keeps me is probably thousands spent In iTunes that I wouldn't want to give up..

Not very tied at all, which I'm happy about.

I have an iMac, a Macbook Air and a Macbook Pro that my workplace has supplied for me. I run android phones, don't have any iPad / Apple TV, and don't use iCloud, iMessage and similar.

I do frown on Apples mentality lately. Unstable software, lack of new features, crippled hardware (less ports, thermal throtteling, stupid touchbar and so on). That's why I've been dual-booting Linux lately, and like it a lot. I've also installed Windows on my old desktop for some gaming. Honestly all three OS'es are usable, and Linux feels really at home coming from OS X, so if things doesn't get better with this coming update I'll probably run a linux / windows dualboot for the coming years.

My devices are:

MacBook Pro
iPad Pro and Apple Pencil
iPhone
2 iPods
Apple Watch
Beats Solo 3
AirPods
2 iMacs

I use iCloud for photo storage, syncing, and device backup;
I use Apple Music;
I’ve invested large sums of money on MacOS and iOS apps (some 500€);
Almost all my documents are saved on Pages.

I fought against the ecosystem for a long time, even though most of my computers/devices were Apple products. My reasoning at that time was that I wanted to be able to switch platforms anytime I wanted. I finally gave up and embraced the Apple ecosystem, and I'm really glad I did. So much of my stuff works better and more easily now, which means I didn't really properly value what Apple's services add to the equation.

I had been particularly worried about having the Mac Photos app manage all my photos, but I actually very much like it. On the video side, being an Apple ecosystem user paid off in a big way when Apple upgraded many of my purchased movies to 4K for free -- that's something absolutely no one else was doing. Plus, there are now better tools out there for transitioning to other products, so if I ever change my mind, I think I'll be fine.

This is where I am finding myself today. Always considered other platforms just for the bells and whistles and because of apples pricing, but have decided I don’t have the time to research all options and compare to Apples offerings. All we have are 2 iPhone X’s, 2 series 0 Apple watches, an iPad, and 2 Apple TV’s, I don’t even have a computer. I think this year we will upgrade the watches and add a HomePod to start Apple Music.

For the most part apples hardware is beautifully designed with usually great software that seems to keep privacy and security at the forefront. I’ll be getting further into the ecosystem rather than trying not to.

Yeah, but let's be honest... the iWork suite isn't all that anymore. They were fantastic programs until about 5-6 years ago. Apple has just stopped trying when it comes to Macs. I'll gladly pay Microsoft for programs that actually work. Plenty of free video editors that are as good as iMovie out there.

  • There is no DRM in iTunes music, you can take your music anywhere. If you're paying a fixed cost, then you're leasing the music, you're not buying it.
  • I don't know any company that gives free adapter because you misplace them
  • SD card? yeah. In most phones, it's not considered as the built-in memory. You can use it for photos and music but it they often forbid you from putting applications there. Many people had problem with that, if they buy faulty cards they blame the phone. It's better to have built-in larger capacity memory
  • Many phones companies don't even have store to service their phones, I'm sure you'll complain with your next one
Note:
- I don't currently use iTunes or the Mac
- I don't have an iPhone
- I have a phone with a SD card , so yes, I'm aware of the issues

Cheers!

Lol, yes... you can install apps on micro sd cards. In fact, many of the new Androids actually use the built-in memory as well as an sd card as all available memory, so there's really no difference... except Apple charges you a fortune for theirs. You buy good memory cards, they work. Plenty of Apple hard drives/flash memory fail every day, in both their phones and other devices.

Yes, I'm well aware of how a paid monthly music service works. And yes, some of the music is transferable, but not all.

I don't need a company to give me a free adapter if the phone has a headphone jack.

I've been to plenty of Apple stores... they're plenty helpful if you live near one, and don't mind ponying up money every time you need your phone fixed.

I'll pass.

Pretty deep here. Between my wife and myself:

Stuff still used as primary devices or used daily for specific functions:

iPhones (x2), iPads (x6), MBA, rMBP, 21" iMac, 27" 5K iMac, Mac Mini (2012 and 2014), AppleTV (x5), Watch (x2) and AirPods.

In addition, I have iPhones of various vintage that still work, and some of which are used semi-regularly for specific purpose - like an iPhone 5s that I uses as a camera when traveling around the globe, several vintages of iPod that I still use on occasion... and untold amounts spent at the iOS and Mac App Stores for software, most of which I still use and still works well for its intended purpose.

Somewhat tied in.

2 ATV 4K
1 iPhone X
iPad Pro 12.9, 10.5, Air 2, Mini, 3
(Soon) Macbook Pro
Apple Music
iCloud 50 GB
Airpods
Apple Watch

The only non-Apple thing I have is my desktop. I don't like Mac desktops oddly enough.

Very. I use it for anything that stores my personal data - due to Apple's privacy policy and their public stance on security.

They may not have a perfect security track record, but at least they're pushing in the right direction.

Windows at home is a game loader.

iphone, ipad pro, watch, macbook, airports, homepod, appletv, etc.

I've gotten out of it the past two years. Went from MBP/iPhone/iPad/iMac/iCloud to Dell XPS 15/Galaxy S9+/iPad/iMac/No iCloud. I much prefer the freedom of Android over iOS, though I do miss iMessage and AirDrop. Windows 10 works well, but I do miss macOS, specifically the creative software. The fact that Apple has an education bundle that has Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro for only $200 makes me really want to get a new mac (my iMac is 8 years old), but the new MacBook Pros are waaayyy too expensive and have too many compromises. The iMacs are more expensive than my XPS 15, yet have worse specs. In an ideal world, I would like to be back in the Apple ecosystem, but it's just not worth the costs or compromises anymore.

Mostly tied in, with some exceptions.

21.5" iMac - Home Computer
13" MBP - Work Issue
iPhone 6S - Me
iPhone 6S - Wife
iPad Pro 9.7" - Work Issue
Apple Music Family Subscription
iCloud 200GB Shared Subscription

Exceptions:
- Roku Ultra instead of Apple TV.
- Regular, non-smart watch.
- No HomePod or other smart speaker.
- Microsoft Office, because iWork sucks.

You should give Pages and Keynote a serious look. You may be surprised by how well they work, specially since the last couple of updates.
I have no doubt. Unfortunately, I mainly use Excel and it has features like Macros and Pivot Tables that are missing from Numbers. To be honest, the editor I use most is TextEdit which works great.

Very.

I have:

iPhone X
iPad Pro 10.5
iPad mini 4
Apple Watch series 3
2 x Apple TV
MacBook Air
2 x HomePod
Airpods

I buy all my movies and TV shows from iTunes and have done for over 10 years. I subscribe to Apple Music but already had a big library of music I’d purchased from itunes.

I also use iCloud storage. I subscribe to the 200GB package.

I would find it very difficult to move away now.

I posted in April in that I was fairly well tied to the ecosystem. This summer I dipped my toe into the windows world once again and realized for me, apple's ecosystem works best at meeting my needs.

Not as tied as I used to be, only because I’m limited with internet access where I live, and I have simplified because of that.

I have a 2018 iPad I use for just about everything (had a 12.9 pro that pretty much replaced my iMac, and MAY go back pro when new iPads come out, but I’m kinda happy with my simple setup at the moment).

I have an iPhone 8+ that I will likely upgrade in hopes that I might get better connectivity.

I have an Apple Watch.

I have had iMac, MacBooks, iPods, Apple TV, etc., but we just cannot get any internet worth having. Since I limp along with AT&T data out here, I just keep devices with LTE for now.

- 2 iPhone Xs
- 20+ Macs, Minis, and MacBooks
- 6 Apple TVs
- 15 iPads
- 1 Apple Watch
- $30K+ spent on iTunes

Yet I've come to hate the iPhone X so much, I'm thinking about switching to Samsung.
