How to block YouTube ads on Apple TV?

I used a VPN to sign up for YT Premium in a cheap country, using my regular credit card, about 6 months ago. Since then, I haven't used VPN once. I've been accessing the account from all my devices, including an Apple TV, using my regular internet, and they don't seem to care.

I've also ditched Spotify and am using YT Music, which is included.

For this, I am paying about $1.50 per month, and I consider it totally worth it. Also, I'm pretty sure what I'm doing is completely legal.

Annoyingly they've started to come down hard on this method by cancelling subscriptions that signed up to a cheaper country using a VPN.

This. I avoided it for so long and then finally gave in about a year ago. Agreed. WORTH EVERY DOLLAR

I did like the premium for the no ads but then noticed all the in video sponsors which just seemed to annoy me more than the ads for some reason.

I ended up cancelling after the free trial. I also found it crazy expensive for what it's worth and more so if I add in family account it's more than Netflix

Everybody’s different. I actually watch YouTube more than ANY other subscription service so being able to watch it without ads literally saves me hours of ads a month. In my YouTube family account it says I missed like 5,000 hours of ads or something. Pay the equivalent of a happy meal to not have my videos interrupted by ads? Worth it. Not to mention all the free movies and tv shows I’ve been able to find on YouTube that aren’t even on Netflix or anywhere else

Do NOT give google a financial instrument in your real world identity. Consider what other histories you would be providing them outside your direct interaction. Become far more versed in the functional world of credit cards.

I believe it was open YouTube app>you>premium benefits. Then it shows all kinds of stats.

You can also go to more granular settings and see interesting little things like videos liked, disliked, hours watched, saved offline, etc
